To defeat a Soul Storm in Minecraft Dungeons II, destroy the three Storm Generators marked by the event objective. Deal with nearby enemies only when they stop you attacking safely; if a generator is protected by a Shield Generator, destroy that source first. Launch-week guides report this objective, but the game’s official pages do not document the encounter mechanics.
Unlock the event and find its objective
Independent launch-week guides describe Soul Storms as post-campaign events. Finish the campaign, then wait for the game to indicate that a Soul Storm is active. Enter the region shown by the event and follow its objective toward a Storm Generator. The guides agree on a three-generator win condition, though that mechanic has not been confirmed in the official Minecraft material.
How to destroy the Storm Generators
- Follow the event marker. Head to the Storm Generator identified by the objective.
- Check whether it is protected. One independent guide reports that a separate Shield Generator can protect some Storm Generators. If the target appears shielded or your attacks are not progressing, look for and destroy the Shield Generator, then return to the Storm Generator. This protection mechanic is guide-reported, not officially documented.
- Make a safe opening, then attack. Tough enemies may crowd the objective. Clear or control only the threats that prevent you from making progress; return your attention to the generator rather than trying to defeat every enemy in the area.
- Repeat for the remaining targets. Continue to the next Storm Generator and use the same approach until the objective registers all three as destroyed.
- Check for completion. Use the in-game completion message to confirm the event is finished, then collect any reward the game presents. Exact reward contents and drop rates are not established by official documentation.
Handle enemies without losing time
The event objective is the generators, not a full-area clear. Stay mobile around the target, create enough breathing room to attack, and return to the objective as soon as the immediate threat is manageable. This is a practical reading of launch-week guide advice, not a tested strategy or a claim that every enemy can be ignored.
Why you should check the in-game timer
Published guides disagree about how often Soul Storms recur, even though they describe an event lasting about 20 minutes. Their conflicting estimates do not establish a reliable schedule. Check the current in-game notice and objective instead of planning around a fixed start time or duration.

What is confirmed—and what is not
Minecraft Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026. Minecraft’s launch post confirms availability on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2: Minecraft Dungeons II is live. The official About Dungeons II page establishes game information but does not explain Soul Storm mechanics. The three-generator objective and possible Shield Generator protection come from independent guides: Dungeons2DB’s Soul Storms guide and TechnoSports Gaming’s Soul Storm guide. Treat those encounter details as reported guidance rather than official rules.
