Kiana James Posts About Money in the Bank Briefcase After Missing Qualifiers

The SmackDown star at the center of the report is Kiana James. She posted, “Kiana with a briefcase just sounded right… 💼,” a remark Sportskeeda interpreted as frustration at not being included in WWE’s Money in the Bank qualifying matches. The post is documented; her private feelings are not independently confirmed.

What Kiana James posted—and what it does not confirm

Sportskeeda’s October 3, 2026 report quoted James’s briefcase post. The line suggests she pictured herself with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but it does not explicitly say she was angry or explain why she was not selected. Calling her “unhappy” is the outlet’s reading of the post, not a confirmed statement of her emotional state.

Her July match was for a different ladder match

James did compete in a ladder-match qualifier on the July 24, 2026 episode of SmackDown, but it was not a Money in the Bank qualifier. She faced Chelsea Green for a place in the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match at SummerSlam. WWE’s results say Green won with the Unprettier.

WWE’s July 24 SmackDown results identify the match’s purpose and outcome. The SummerSlam championship match and the later Money in the Bank contest were separate competitions.

Who made the 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank match?

WWE’s official page lists six participants: Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton. Stratton earned the final place by defeating Candice LeRae and Tatum Paxley on the October 2 SmackDown. The event was scheduled for October 10, 2026.

WWE’s 2026 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match page records the field and final qualifying result. Its separate October 2 SmackDown results provide the episode context.

Did Kiana James lose a Money in the Bank qualifier?

No. The documented July match was a qualifier for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match at SummerSlam. WWE’s listed 2026 Money in the Bank field does not include James, but the available match records do not show her losing a qualifier for that event.
