When and where is Colts vs. Commanders?
The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Commanders’ official preview lists kickoff at 9:30 a.m. ET. That is 2:30 p.m. local time in London on the date of the game.
Indianapolis is designated as the away team. The kickoff and venue are listed in the Commanders’ Week 4 preview and the Colts schedule.
How can you watch the game?
For viewers in the United States, the Commanders list NFL Network as the television broadcaster. The NFL’s viewing guide says eligible U.S. NFL+ subscribers can watch on supported devices. International viewing options include NFL Game Pass on DAZN, but availability and broadcast restrictions vary by location. Check the service’s local listing before kickoff.

Are the Colts and Commanders coming off wins?
Yes. Indianapolis beat Houston 19–17 in Week 3, while Washington defeated Seattle 33–31. NFL.com described both teams as having earned their first wins. The close scores give each side momentum, but they do not establish which team is favored in London.
Is Jayden Daniels playing?
No. Washington ruled out Daniels, and Marcus Mariota is expected to be behind center against Indianapolis. Availability can change, so check the Commanders’ final game-day update before kickoff.

Mariota’s Week 3 performance against Seattle offers a recent reference point: according to NFL.com’s 2026 preview, he threw three touchdown passes without an interception and posted a passer rating above 110. That is a one-game snapshot, not a guarantee of how he will play in London.
What are the key matchups?
Jonathan Taylor against Washington’s run defense
Indianapolis’ clearest offensive question is whether Taylor can turn a high workload into effective runs. NFL.com reported that he had 66 carries through three games, tied for the league lead, but was averaging fewer than four yards per carry and had not reached 100 rushing yards in a game.

Washington had allowed 246 rushing yards through three weeks, the NFL’s third-lowest total, at 3.8 yards per carry, according to the same NFL.com preview. The defense’s reported run-stuff rate was 25%, and it had allowed five runs of at least 10 yards. Those figures frame the matchup as a test of whether Taylor can find room against a defense that had limited opponents’ ground production; they are season-to-date numbers, not a forecast.
Mariota’s offense without Daniels
Washington’s offense changes with Daniels unavailable and Mariota starting. His three-touchdown, zero-interception outing against Seattle gives the Commanders a positive recent example, while the London game asks whether that performance can carry over against Indianapolis. NFL.com also flags receiver-versus-secondary matchups on both sides as potential pressure points, but those player-specific details can change with availability and current form.

How the teams handle the London trip
The Colts’ October 2 report noted the travel adjustment in a lighter moment: safety Cam Bynum called the flight to London “a little nap.” Indianapolis defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, discussing the team’s defense after the Houston win, said, “We have to continue to prove it each and every week, who we are as a defense,” adding, “And last week was great improvement.” Both comments were reported by Colts.com writer JJ Stankevitz.
