These details were announced ahead of the scheduled October 23, 2026 PC release on Battle.net, so they may change.
What Enhanced FOV does on PC
Enhanced FOV is a PC-exclusive option, according to Call of Duty’s PC feature announcement. Rather than raising the conventional field of view across the whole image, it uses physically accurate lens effects to expand the view near the monitor’s edges without affecting center FOV.
That distinction matters: the feature is meant to reveal more of the peripheral scene while preserving the central view. It is a visibility preference, not a promise that every player will find the image more comfortable or easier to read.
Does Modern Warfare 4 have weapon bloom?
The publisher’s wording is that bloom has been removed. In the official game announcement, Call of Duty says: “Bloom has been removed, making hipfire shots feel more direct, predictable, and connected to where the weapon is pointed.”

A September 30, 2026 Dot Esports guide has a section titled “Weapon Bloom” and describes shot direction as being calculated from the weapon’s barrel position for both aiming down sights (ADS) and hipfire. These are different descriptions: the publisher presents the change as removal of bloom, while the guide explains shot direction in terms of barrel position. The guide’s heading should not be read as evidence that the publisher announced a new random bloom system.
Can your PC run Modern Warfare 4 at 90 FPS?
Dot Esports reports support for 90 FPS at recommended PC specifications without manual settings changes. The publisher’s PC feature page discusses high-frame-rate gameplay and scaling across a wide range of hardware, but its retrieved text does not give that 90 FPS figure or a component-by-component system requirement. Treat 90 FPS as a reported target associated with recommended specifications, not a performance guarantee for every PC.

The publisher says the game can auto-configure settings, but that does not establish what hardware will reach a particular frame rate. Actual results depend on a PC’s components, resolution, graphics settings, and other conditions; no independently tested performance result is established in the cited announcements. A high-refresh-rate monitor may make high frame rates more useful to see, but buying one does not make the computer render at 90 FPS.

The announcement does not identify one best option for every GPU or display. The practical choice depends on your hardware and priorities: native image detail, smoother performance, or a balance between the two. Match an upscaler to the technology supported by your graphics hardware, then compare image quality and responsiveness in your own setup rather than treating the feature list as a tested ranking.
Other announced PC controls
Beyond FOV and image scaling, the publisher lists HDR10+, a global sharpness slider for upscalers, new shading and Filmic SMAA T2X settings, revised graphics settings, and sub-frame mouse polling. The announcement says there are more than 800 customization options across graphics, gameplay, input devices, interface, and other areas. That is a publisher-reported count of options, not a measure of performance or a claim that every option affects every player.

What is confirmed about availability
As of the October 3, 2026 announcement information, the scheduled PC release is October 23, 2026, through Battle.net. The official feature page describes broad hardware scaling and automatic configuration, but does not provide a detailed component-level requirements list in the cited text. For that reason, the feature announcements alone are not enough to determine whether a specific PC will run the game well.
