The report describes upper- and lower-body injuries, but the Miami University Athletics pages reviewed do not confirm those injuries or provide a return timeline. How long will McComb be out?
The RotoWire report says his status for the remainder of the season is unclear. It gives no return date, and the information available here does not establish that he will miss the rest of the season. Treat the one-game expectation and the unresolved season outlook as separate points.
Who is expected to start in McComb’s place?
RotoWire reported that Caleb Heavner was expected to start against Bowling Green. The reviewed official Miami pages do not confirm that expected lineup change, so it should also be understood as secondary reporting rather than a verified depth-chart announcement.

What Miami’s season information does—and does not—show
Miami’s August 31 preseason preview identified McComb, a redshirt freshman who transferred from Kansas, as the expected opening-game quarterback. That preview predates the October injury report and is not evidence of his availability for Bowling Green.
