A 2023 Forbes Australia BrandVoice profile reports that Kajic, her mother and brother sought refuge in Canada, later reunited with her father, and that Kajic returned to Croatia as a teenager. The profile traces her later experience in wine distribution and restaurant ownership before she founded a company combining direct selling, beauty and wellness products, and social-media education.
Flight, refuge and a return to Croatia
The available detailed account of Kajic’s early life comes from Jon Stojan’s September 11, 2023 Forbes Australia profile, which is explicitly marked BrandVoice partner content. It should be read as reported profile material, not as independent corroboration of every biographical detail.
According to that profile, Kajic’s mother took her and her brother out of the war in the former Yugoslavia, leaving their father behind as they sought refuge in Canada. The family later reunited. The profile describes Kajic navigating cultural and language barriers at school, then returning to Croatia as a teenager. It does not establish specific dates or ages for these events.
A November 25, 2025 episode listing for Unapologetically Badass frames its subject as Kajic’s journey from a war-affected childhood to becoming a founder and CEO. Its description uses the phrase “came to the United States,” but the listing’s transcript was still processing when checked. It does not provide enough detail to reconcile that framing with the Forbes profile’s account of refuge in Canada, so the two routes should not be collapsed into a single chronology.

It presents 2020, during the pandemic, as a turning point: Kajic wanted her work to have a broader impact and to help secure a future for her children. Product descriptions and customer testimonials on the company site are company claims, not independent evidence that a product produces a particular health or weight-loss outcome.

InfluencingU is distinct from the physical-product business. Direct Selling News describes it as a digital subscription platform offering live and prerecorded training from people who build and monetize social-media platforms. The profile says it supports multiple languages and is not limited to Bella Grace representatives. It does not establish current subscription pricing, full language availability or commercial terms.
Explaining the idea behind the two initiatives, Direct Selling News quoted Kajic in its December 2024 profile: “People wanted what they saw every day, the ability to monetize their passion online through social media platforms. Bella Grace and our new initiative, influencingU were born through the quest to marry the high appeal of monetizing social media and the high-reward compensation plans of network marketing.”

What the story does—and does not—establish
Kajic’s story, as documented in these profiles, connects displacement and relocation with later business-building and the creation of a direct-selling company. The sources do not establish migration dates, financial results, sales totals or a universal formula for entrepreneurial success. They also do not independently verify the personal outcomes sometimes associated with product testimonials.
For a first-person account, the Forbes profile names Kajic’s book War to Wealth as recounting her journey. That is a reference to the book, not an independent assessment of its contents.
