What is the Aston Martin DBX GT?
The DBX GT is a new DBX variant aimed at buyers who want high performance with a stronger emphasis on refinement and daily comfort. Aston Martin positions it as the more assured, luxurious alternative to the sportier DBX S, rather than as a lower-powered model.
The distinction is one of emphasis: the GT’s cabin, ride, noise isolation and exhaust have been revised for a more relaxed experience, while retaining the same stated engine output as the DBX S. The announcement describes the GT’s intended character; it is not an independent road-test assessment.
How much power does the DBX GT have?
Aston Martin specifies a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 727 PS and 900 Nm, paired with a nine-speed wet-clutch automatic. The DBX S specification lists 727 PS as 535 kW (also shown as 717 bhp); that conversion provides the 535 kW context for the GT’s shared 727 PS output. Aston Martin says the GT’s transmission calibration has been refined for more consistent, smoother shifts.

The 1 October 2026 GT announcement does not provide a GT-specific 0–100 km/h time, other acceleration result or top speed. DBX S performance figures should not be treated as GT figures.

In practical terms, the GT is the choice Aston Martin has shaped around a quieter, more comfort-led drive; the S remains the more overtly sporting expression. The available official information does not establish a measured performance or cabin-noise advantage for either in a direct test.

What has Aston Martin changed for comfort and quietness?
Cabin noise isolation
Aston Martin says the GT improves its Articulation Index by 13%. The company describes this index as a measure of how easy it is to hold a conversation while moving. That is a manufacturer-reported figure: the announcement does not supply an independent test, a decibel result or a controlled comparison with the DBX S.
The listed noise-isolation measures include additional sound-deadening in the doors, wheel-arch areas and load space, acoustic laminated rear side glass, deeper-pile carpets, and changes to cabin sealing and body structure.

Seats, ride and transmission
The GT receives revised seat forms and cushioning. Aston Martin also describes a new transmission-mount bush and two longitudinal dampers, alongside chassis calibration changes, as measures intended to improve composure over larger suspension movements and compliance at lower speeds.
Exhaust character
A dedicated rear-muffler gas-flow tune is intended to reduce harsh metallic frequencies. In GT mode, the exhaust is tuned for more discreet progress; Sport and Sport+ bring back a louder character. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independently measured sound levels.

Which wheels and tyres are specified?
The standard DBX GT package pairs a new 22-inch forged wheel with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres. Buyers can opt for a 23-inch package with either Pirelli P-Zero Summer or Scorpion Zero All-Season tyres. Check the precise market specification, tyre size and fitment before relying on a particular combination; the announcement does not give all retail-fitment details.
What does the DBX GT look like?
The exterior changes include a double-vaned grille, a two-piece metal side strake, body-colour lower trim, and horizontally arranged quad exhaust finishers. The new forged 22-inch wheel is also part of the GT’s visual treatment. Aston Martin presents these details as a more discreet interpretation of the DBX’s performance character.

When will the DBX GT go on sale, and how much will it cost?
Aston Martin says first deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2026. Its 1 October 2026 announcement does not state a price, market-specific launch or order dates, or ordering details. Availability and timing therefore need to be confirmed with Aston Martin for the buyer’s market.
