Yes. The physical Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle is announced to include both the game and its Mega Dimension DLC on one game card. It is scheduled to release on October 29, 2026, so it is not yet available as of October 3, 2026. That one-card claim covers the game and DLC—not a guarantee that no later updates or downloads will ever be needed.
What the physical bundle includes
The Pokémon Company announced on September 30, 2026 that Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the Mega Dimension DLC are included on one game card. The company says the bundle contains the same game content as buying the game and DLC separately.
That means the advertised physical card includes the Switch 2 Edition of the base game and the Mega Dimension expansion. The announcement does not promise that the package will never require an update or download, so “complete” should be understood as referring to those two included components, not every future patch.
Release date and bonus
The bundle is scheduled for October 29, 2026, according to the September 30 announcement from The Pokémon Company and Nintendo’s U.S. product page. Both dates are future-dated as of October 3, 2026; retailer stock and any later schedule changes are not established here.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The physical bundle also includes a code for 100 Ultra Balls as a purchase bonus. Redeeming it requires internet access and a Nintendo Account, but not a Nintendo Switch Online membership, according to the official announcement.
What Switch 2 Edition means
The Switch 2 Edition offers improved performance, frame rate, and resolution. Those Switch 2-specific features require a Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo says the game card can be used in the original Nintendo Switch, but it runs as the Nintendo Switch version there, without the Switch 2 enhancements. See Nintendo’s product details for the platform listing.

What Mega Dimension adds—and when you can play it
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is an urban Pokémon adventure set in Lumiose City. The game has players choose Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as a first partner, explore the city, catch and train Pokémon, and take part in real-time battles. The Z-A Royale is a Trainer-rank climb, while the Z-A Battle Club supports up to three other players locally or online. Mega Evolution is central to the game. Nintendo lists play for up to four players on one system, through local wireless, or online on its product page.
Mega Dimension continues the story in Hyperspace Lumiose, but players must complete the main story before entering its story content. The DLC features Hoopa, Ansha, Korrina, and Team MZ; it also introduces gathering Berries and making donuts that grant useful effects, plus Holo-X and Holo-Y outfit items. Nintendo says the DLC works with either the original Pokémon Legends: Z-A or the Switch 2 Edition. See Nintendo’s Mega Dimension page.
