Scarlet Moon Halloween Volume V is an eight-track Halloween album, and the release announcement names Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal as places to listen. Its arrangements draw on video-game music from titles including Yoshi’s Island, Persona 5, Banjo-Kazooie, and Castlevania, alongside a jazzy-lullaby take on “Thriller.”
What is Scarlet Moon Halloween Volume V?
It is the fifth volume in Scarlet Moon’s Halloween album series, which the announcement says began in 2022. The release follows the label’s Christmas series. Scarlet Moon’s Jayson Napolitano describes the milestone and this volume’s musical choices in the announcement:
“Five years in, we wanted to try something we’d never done before. Turning ‘Thriller’ into a jazzy lullaby felt like the perfect way to mark the milestone, while our arrangers dug into some genuinely great deep cuts this year, from Yoshi’s Island to Persona 5. We hope fans have as much fun discovering it as we did putting it together.”
The announcement does not give an exact release date, so its “five years in” description should not be read as a precisely dated anniversary.
