CD PROJEKT RED released Patch 5.00b for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered on 1 October 2026. It adjusts lighting in some interiors that appeared too dark, restores DLSS availability in the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version, and includes other unspecified parity adjustments. The studio has not named the affected interiors or quantified the visual change.
What does Patch 5.00b change?
CD PROJEKT RED’s official Patch 5.00b notice lists three changes:
- It fixes an issue that made DLSS unavailable in the Xbox Play Anywhere version on PC.
- It makes lighting adjustments, including fixing some interiors that appeared too dark.
- It makes other adjustments intended to ensure parity with the PC version; the notice does not itemize them.
Why do some interiors look too dark, and what did the lighting patch fix?
The studio describes the problem as some interiors appearing too dark, and says it adjusted lighting to address it. The notice does not identify the affected rooms, explain the underlying lighting implementation, or provide before-and-after measurements. It therefore supports saying that some overly dark interiors were addressed, not that every interior was changed or that a particular location received a specific fix.
Which platforms received Patch 5.00b?
The 1 October announcement names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version. Its DLSS fix is specifically for Xbox Play Anywhere on PC; the notice does not claim that the fix applies to every PC storefront or edition.

Is the reported save-game issue fixed?
No. CD PROJEKT RED said it was investigating reports submitted through its Technical Support portal and preparing a PC hotfix for a reported save-game issue. The announcement gave no release date, and did not say Patch 5.00b fixed saving.
