To play as Freddy Fazbear, Foxy, Chica, or Bonnie in Fortnite, buy and equip the character’s outfit from the Item Shop with V-Bucks. Fortnitemares also has a separate match mechanic: players can take on Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronic bosses and possess one. Possession is temporary gameplay, not ownership of an outfit.
How to get an FNAF outfit in Fortnite
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop.
- Find the Five Nights at Freddy’s offer and check which outfits and items are currently available.
- Choose an outfit or bundle, review its contents and V-Bucks price, then complete the purchase if you want it.
- After buying, equip the outfit from your Locker to use it as your character’s cosmetic.
Epic’s official listing names outfits for Freddy Fazbear, Foxy the Pirate, Chica the Chicken, and Bonnie the Rabbit. It lists a bundle price of 4,500 V-Bucks, against an original included-item total of 11,000 V-Bucks. The bundle page says the offer is purchasable until October 31, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time (GMT+00:00). These are the figures and deadline displayed on Epic’s FNAF bundle offer page; check the live Item Shop before buying because prices, availability, and deadlines can change.
The offer includes themed back blings, emotes, kicks, pickaxes, microphones or instruments, and a wrap, as itemized on the listing. The page does not establish the individual price of each outfit or whether every item is sold separately. Use the live shop to see current individual purchase options rather than relying on estimates.
How to possess an animatronic during Fortnitemares
Epic describes a Fortnitemares match activity in which players can take on FNAF animatronic bosses, possess one, and terrorize the map. That is a gameplay mechanic, separate from purchasing a skin: the official event announcement does not give a complete route, boss roster, location, button sequence, or possession duration. Avoid assuming that a particular animatronic will appear at a particular POI or that the mechanic works identically in every mode.

| Option | What it does | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Buy an outfit | Adds a cosmetic character outfit to your account for use through the Locker. | Requires V-Bucks. Epic’s listed bundle contains Freddy, Foxy, Chica, and Bonnie outfits; check the shop for the current offer and pricing. |
| Possess a boss | Lets you take on an animatronic in a Fortnitemares match. | An event gameplay activity, not a permanent outfit purchase. Epic has not specified the full route or duration in its announcement. |
Choose the outfit if you want a character cosmetic you can equip; try the possession mechanic if you mean becoming an animatronic within a match. The official listing establishes a bundle offer, but not individual outfit prices, so compare the live shop options if you only want one character.
