What charges does Rick Ross face?
The Associated Press reports that Roberts surrendered at the Miami Beach Police Station on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, and was charged with felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery. These are the specific reported charges; “domestic violence” describes the context of the accusation, not a separate charge established by the reporting. Associated Press
The AP says an arrest report describes a woman telling detectives that an alleged incident occurred on Aug. 28. That is an account attributed to the arrest report, not an adjudicated fact. The Guardian reported that authorities had not publicly identified the alleged victim. The Guardian
What has Ross said about the allegations?
Defense attorney Steve Sadow told the AP that Ross pleaded not guilty and denied wrongdoing. Sadow said: “Mr. Roberts is innocent and has pled not guilty to the charges. He respectfully requests that his friends, fans and the general public not prejudge the situation and allow the judicial process to run its course.” Those are the defense’s statements, not a court finding. Was Rick Ross released on bond, and was it $5,000 or $6,000?
Reports conflict, and the available reporting does not explain the difference. The AP says Ross was released on a $5,000 cash bond; The FADER says Judge Mindy Glazer set bond at $5,000. The Guardian reports a $6,000 listing in Miami-Dade jail and court records, and the Hindustan Times headline-specific story also says $6,000. The reporting does not establish whether the figures reflect different records or a correction. The $6,000 figure should therefore be described as a reported listing, not confirmed as the bond set by the judge. The case-specific docket is the appropriate source to resolve the discrepancy.

When is Rick Ross due back in court?
The AP and The FADER reported an arraignment scheduled for Oct. 22, 2026. That is a reported future court date, not confirmation that the hearing occurred or that it remains unchanged. Associated Press, The FADER
