Ross’s attorney, Steve Sadow, told AP that his client “is innocent and has pled not guilty to the charges,” and asked the public not to prejudge the situation while the judicial process proceeds. WPLG Local 10 reported that Kendrick responded to a fan’s message in an Instagram Story with the words, “He saw a punching bag.” The Los Angeles Times reported that Kendrick had also shared photographs of injuries and said she had time to process and begin healing.
