Igloo CEO and co-founder Raunak Mehta has signaled interest in further growth through mergers and acquisitions, but the available public material does not identify a planned deal or target. A Tech in Asia promotion of its premium interview says Igloo facilitates more than 100 million policies a month; the company’s own profile gives a different figure, so both numbers need to be read in their respective contexts.
What Igloo does
Igloo describes itself as digital insurance infrastructure for insurers and consumer platforms. Its technology covers digital product configuration, underwriting, claims adjudication and financial reconciliation. The company says it operates in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, with technology centres in China and India. What Mehta has said about further growth
Tech in Asia promoted a premium story titled “Igloo CEO eyes global M&A: ‘We have an appetite to grow more’.” Its LinkedIn repost says Mehta is optimistic about further growth and reports that Igloo facilitates more than 100 million policies per month. That monthly figure is attributed to the Tech in Asia reporting; the repost does not independently verify it, and the full premium interview is not available in the material reviewed. In a separate company-posted summary of Mehta’s interview with InsuranceAsia News, Igloo describes three parallel strategic priorities: international expansion through M&A, becoming AI-native, and expanding its health, life and motor insurance lines. How Igloo says it assesses international markets
The company’s interview summary names Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America as possible markets when three conditions align. It does not specify individual countries or set out a ranking.
- Population digitization: a shift from offline activity to online services.
- Platform availability: suitable platforms through which insurance products and services can reach users.
- Regulatory fit: rules that allow the business to operate in the market.

What the Eazy Digital acquisition shows—and does not show
Igloo’s company-posted statement describes its acquisition of Bangkok-based Eazy Digital as adding a local presence, team and leadership in Thailand. Mehta said: “Acquiring the company gives partners across Asia immediate access to the full Igloo stack, and gives us the local presence, team, and leadership to serve this market at scale.” The quote and characterization come from Igloo’s statement. The statement supports a strategic rationale centered on local capacity and access to Igloo’s technology. It does not establish the deal’s value, timing or other terms, nor does it reveal whether another acquisition is being pursued.

Why the monthly policy figures differ
Igloo’s company profile says it facilitates more than 80 million policies per month, while Tech in Asia’s 2026 repost of its premium interview says more than 100 million. These are separately attributed figures: the profile does not specify a year, and the available material does not explain whether the figures share a measurement date or methodology.
