If you sell on Cdiscount and need to manage your own listings, offers, stock or orders, start with Cdiscount’s documented Marketplace API—not a page scraper. Cdiscount describes that API as a seller-operations service, not a general read-only API for extracting arbitrary product pages. For other work, inspect and parse product-page responses only when you have confirmed that your access and intended reuse are authorized. The available official material does not settle whether independent scraping, particular request rates or downstream reuse are permitted.
Choose the right way to access Cdiscount data
The appropriate route depends on what you are trying to do. Cdiscount’s official English API information describes an Octopia-provided Marketplace API for seller activity: creating listings, updating offers, handling orders and customer relations, and accessing financial statements. It says API access is tied to a seller account, with credentials available through settings in the Seller Area after registration. Cdiscount’s seller FAQ also discusses catalogue management and stock updates through the Seller Space or API.
That is the official route evidenced for seller workflows. It should not be presented as a public read-only product-data API for anyone who wants to query product pages. If you are not operating your own seller account, first establish whether you have authorization for the page access and data use you plan. A page being visible in a browser does not settle that question.
| Approach | Best fit | What the available information establishes | Important constraint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cdiscount Marketplace API | Sellers automating their own catalogue, offers, stock, orders and related operations | Cdiscount describes seller operations through an account-based Octopia API and Seller Space. | The documentation described here does not establish a general-purpose, read-only product-page API. |
| Page inspection and parsing | An authorized analysis that needs fields present on rendered product pages | A third-party crawling provider reports commonly finding JSON-LD with product name, price, currency and availability. | Page markup is not established here as a stable data contract, and permission and reuse rules remain unresolved. |
Confirm permission before collecting pages
Cdiscount’s official “Conditions générales” landing page lists current conditions and a version history, including a version dated 6 July 2026. The material available here does not resolve whether independent scraping is permitted, what request rates apply, or whether a resulting dataset may be reused. That is not a conclusion that scraping is either allowed or prohibited. Check the current conditions that apply to your account, geography and use case, and obtain appropriate authorization before automating collection.

Do not treat any of the following as permission: a successful HTTP response, publicly visible page content, a third-party scraper’s instructions, or a robots file reproduced in a vendor test fixture. If a request receives a refusal or a page presents a consent or block screen, do not try to defeat that response. Stop and follow the applicable access terms or seek authorization.
Inspect a product page before writing a parser
For an authorized workflow, begin with one representative product page rather than assuming that every page has the same fields. Crawlbase reports that Cdiscount product pages usually include JSON-LD containing a name, price, currency and availability. Treat this as a vendor-reported observation and a useful place to look—not a guarantee from Cdiscount. Inspect the actual response and record only fields you can identify there.

- Fetch a page covered by your authorization. Use the access method, rate limits and scope you have confirmed. Do not broaden collection to other pages or fields without checking that they are covered too.
- Look for structured data first. Search the response HTML for
<script type="application/ld+json">blocks. If the relevant data is present, parse it rather than depending immediately on presentation-specific CSS selectors. - Check the structure and values. JSON-LD can contain nested objects or arrays. Confirm how a product’s name, offers, price, currency and availability are represented on the page you inspected. A missing value is missing; do not invent it from a different field.
- Keep source and time with each record. Save the page URL and retrieval time alongside extracted fields. Price and availability are observations made at a particular time, not timeless facts.
- Recognize refusal and failure states. Distinguish a normal product response from an error, consent screen, block page, empty response or timeout. Stop or back off in line with your authorization rather than escalating around an access refusal.
- Recheck the parser. Page markup can change. Validate the fields against current authorized pages before relying on a parser in a recurring workflow.
Illustrative Python parser for JSON-LD
The example below shows how to parse JSON-LD from an HTML file you are authorized to use. It deliberately does not make network requests: that keeps the parsing example separate from access decisions and lets you inspect the saved response first. Install the dependency with python -m pip install beautifulsoup4, save an authorized page response as product.html, then run the script. It reports product-like objects it can recognize and leaves fields absent when they are not present.

from pathlib import Path
from typing import Any
from bs4 import BeautifulSoup
def walk(value: Any):
"""Yield dictionaries nested in JSON-LD objects and arrays."""
if isinstance(value, dict):

for child in value.values():
yield from walk(child)
elif isinstance(value, list):
for child in value:
yield from walk(child)
def text_value(value: Any) -> str | None:

return value
if isinstance(value, dict):
# Some structured data uses a language-keyed value.
for key in ("value", "@value"):
if isinstance(value.get(key), str):
return value[key]
return None
html = Path("product.html").read_text(encoding="utf-8")
soup = BeautifulSoup(html, "html.parser")
results = []
for script in soup.select('script[type="application/ld+json"]'):
raw = script.string or script.get_text()
if not raw.strip():
continue
try:
document = json.loads(raw)
except json.JSONDecodeError:
# A malformed block should not hide valid blocks elsewhere.
continue
for item in walk(document):
types = item.get("@type", [])
if isinstance(types, str):
types = [types]
if not any(str(t).rsplit("/", 1)[-1] == "Product" for t in types):
continue
offers = item.get("offers")
if isinstance(offers, list):
offers = offers[0] if offers else None
if not isinstance(offers, dict):
offers = {}
results.append({
"name": text_value(item.get("name")),
"price": text_value(offers.get("price")) or offers.get("price"),
"currency": text_value(offers.get("priceCurrency")),
"availability": text_value(offers.get("availability")),
})
print(json.dumps(results, ensure_ascii=False, indent=2))
This is an illustrative parser, not a claim that Cdiscount currently emits a particular schema on every page. The script handles common JSON-LD nesting and malformed blocks, but its output still needs validation against the pages and fields your authorized workflow covers. In particular, an offer may be represented differently, or its price may be absent or formatted in a way your downstream system must handle explicitly. Preserve the raw source and retrieval timestamp in your own record if you need auditable results.

Rendering, refusals and changing page behavior
Crawlbase says its own Cdiscount recipe used a JavaScript token for all successful calls in its observed sample, and reports 403 refusals and consent or block responses among failure cases. These are the provider’s observations, not an independent measurement, a universal success rate, or a recommendation to bypass access controls. A page that depends on client-side rendering may not expose the same content in an initial response as it does in a browser. If your authorized method returns incomplete content, verify what the response actually contains and whether your authorization covers the alternative access method; do not respond to refusals by evading them.
The provider also reported a 99.5% success figure across requests from its accounts in August 2026. That figure is limited to its account traffic and stated period; it is not a general Cdiscount availability or scraping-success statistic and should not be used to plan your own expected success rate.
Minimize collected data and protect privacy
Cdiscount’s “Vie privée et cookies” notice describes consent-dependent advertising tracking that can involve browsing activity, product references, searches and cart contents. Those details are not a reason to collect or reuse that information. Keep a collection limited to the product fields your authorized purpose requires, and avoid personal, account or tracking data unless you have a clear, appropriate basis for handling it. The privacy notice does not itself grant permission to scrape.

If your immediate need is a clean visual record of a page—not structured product fields—ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. It is a visual capture service, not a Cdiscount product-data API or a replacement for an authorized parser. Its consent-banner, popup and chat-widget cleanup may help when you need a page image, but do not use a screenshot to infer fields that are not reliably legible or to sidestep a refusal.

Troubleshoot common parsing outcomes
| What you see | What it may mean | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| No JSON-LD block in the saved response | The page may not include structured data in that response, or the content may be delivered differently. | Inspect the authorized response and verify the actual page behavior. Do not assume a schema or switch methods without checking authorization. |
| JSON decoding fails for one block | The block may be malformed or use syntax the parser cannot accept. | Keep the script’s per-block error handling, inspect the raw block, and avoid treating a parse failure as a valid empty product. |
| Name is present but offer fields are missing | Offers may be absent, nested differently, or unavailable in the response inspected. | Record the missing values as missing and validate the structure against an authorized current page. |
| 403 response, consent page or block page | The request was refused or did not return the expected product page; Crawlbase reports these among its observed failure cases. | Stop, respect the response and check your authorization or contact the relevant party. Do not attempt to evade access controls. |
| Results change between runs | Prices, availability or page markup may have changed between retrievals. | Store retrieval time and URL, then validate the parser before using the latest result. |
Reliability and cost considerations
A page-by-page workflow creates operational work: you need permission, a way to collect authorized responses, parser validation, and handling for missing fields, refusals and page changes. The available sources do not establish Cdiscount scraping rate limits or a stable page-data schema, so do not build a high-volume schedule or promise a coverage level from the vendor-specific observations. For seller catalogue and stock operations, the documented seller API route is the more directly relevant starting point.
ScreenshotNeo pricing is separate from any Cdiscount access or authorization. Its plans are Free (1,000 shots/month, no card), Starter ($5 for 3,000), Growth ($15 for 15,000), Pro ($39 for 60,000), Scale ($99 for 250,000), and Business ($249 for 1,000,000); yearly billing gives two months free, and every feature is on every plan. These are screenshot captures, not scraped product records.

Does Cdiscount have a product API for anyone to use?
The official material described here documents an account-based Marketplace API for seller operations; it does not establish a general public read-only API for arbitrary product pages.
Does the available information say independent scraping is allowed?
No. The current conditions landing page and the material described here do not settle independent scraping, request-rate or reuse rules; check the applicable current conditions and obtain authorization.
Will every Cdiscount page contain JSON-LD product data?
That is not established. Crawlbase reports commonly finding JSON-LD on product pages, but that is a vendor observation rather than a Cdiscount guarantee.
