Best WooCommerce Multivendor Plugins Compared (2026)

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

There is no evidence-based universal winner among WooCommerce multivendor plugins. Choose according to how your marketplace will set commissions, pay vendors, manage products and orders, support specialist sales such as bookings, and cover the full cost of plans and extensions. The main candidates are WC Vendors, Dokan, WCFM Marketplace, MultiVendorX, YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor, and WooCommerce Product Vendors.

How to choose a WooCommerce multivendor plugin

Before comparing brands, write down the marketplace workflows you need. A plugin can calculate each seller’s commission without automatically transferring money, and features advertised for a product may be limited to a particular paid plan or require another extension.

  • Commission rules: Identify whether you need percentage, fixed, combined, or adjustable rates, and whether rates must vary by vendor, product, or category.
  • Payouts: Check the payment method, whether transfers are manual or automated, and whether an add-on, approved payment account, or other prerequisite is required.
  • Vendor and owner workflows: Compare seller applications, approvals, product and order management, profiles, reporting, and the administrative work retained by the store owner.
  • Catalog type: Confirm support for your mix of physical goods, digital products, bookings, or subscriptions; do not infer support for a niche workflow from the general marketplace label.
  • Total operating cost: Add the specific paid plan and extensions you need to hosting, payment processing, and ongoing maintenance.

Comparison articles can help identify candidates, but vendor-authored rankings are not independent proof of superiority. The available sources do not establish a neutral, controlled performance comparison across all six products.

Plugin comparison

Plugin What the available sources establish Best fit to investigate What to verify
WC Vendors A 2026 comparison published by WC Vendors lists a free version and paid tiers, and describes Stripe Connect payouts in Pro. That vendor-authored comparison listed Pro from $99.50 per year and reported 10,000+ active stores; these are vendor-reported figures, not independent findings. WC Vendors comparison. A marketplace considering its vendor-facing tools and the Stripe Connect payout workflow described for Pro. Current plan boundaries, payout availability and prerequisites, commission scope, and whether the needed workflow is in the plan you intend to buy.
Dokan Comparison pages list a free version and paid plans and describe vendor-facing onboarding features. A WC Vendors comparison listed an entry price of $149 per year and reported 60,000+ marketplaces; both are competitor-published, vendor-reported figures rather than independently audited data. WC Vendors comparison. A general-purpose marketplace assessing vendor onboarding and seller tools. Which plan includes each required feature, current pricing, commission controls, payout methods, and any add-ons.
WCFM Marketplace Its setup documentation describes an installation wizard, dependencies, and commission configuration. WCFM documentation. A store willing to check the required WooCommerce and WCFM components and configure its commission rules. Current compatibility, dependencies, plan or extension requirements, and the precise commission and payout workflows. The documentation page’s stated minimum software versions are dated and should not be used as current deployment guidance.
MultiVendorX Comparison sources list a free core and paid plan; some emphasize niche marketplace models and bookings. WC Vendors comparison; Cloudways comparison. A marketplace evaluating specialized formats, including bookings. Confirm the relevant feature in current official documentation, along with plan limits, integrations, commission rules, and payout requirements.
YITH WooCommerce Multi Vendor It appears in the comparison sources, which list paid access and differing payout integrations. WC Vendors comparison; Cloudways comparison. A candidate for stores comparing paid marketplace tools and payout integrations. Check current YITH documentation and pricing for the required commission, payout, vendor-management, and integration features.
WooCommerce Product Vendors The official product page describes vendor management, commissions and payout controls, vendor product management, and support for physical and digital products. It can integrate with WooCommerce Bookings for time-based bookings. The page listed a one-year plan at $119 when accessed; treat this as a dated 2026 price snapshot, not a stable price. WooCommerce Product Vendors. A store seeking WooCommerce’s own vendor extension, especially one selling physical or digital goods or considering time-based bookings. Current price and compatibility, whether the required booking integration is separately needed, and whether manual or automated payouts suit your operation.

Commissions are not the same as payouts

Commission settings determine how much a vendor is owed. A payout workflow determines how money actually reaches that vendor. Compare these separately: a plugin may calculate balances while leaving transfers to the store owner, or automatic transfers may rely on a specific payment service and account approval.

For WooCommerce Product Vendors, the documentation describes automated payouts through PayPal Payouts and says they require a pre-approved PayPal Business account. It also allows manual payouts. Product Vendors documentation. Treat this as a concrete prerequisite to check if that extension is on your shortlist, not as a claim that other plugins use the same process.

Costs beyond the plugin

WooCommerce describes its core platform as free and open source, with hosting selected separately and extensions added as needed. Its 2026 pricing page estimates hosting at $25–$350 per month for most stores and extensions at $29–$299 per year each; these broad publisher estimates are not a quote for a particular marketplace. WooCommerce pricing.

Build a cost comparison around the workflow you will actually launch: the relevant plugin plan, any required extension, hosting, payment processing, and maintenance. Recheck vendor pricing and plan boundaries before purchase because both can change.

Compatibility and setup checks

WooCommerce Product Vendors

Its documentation lists WooCommerce 6.0+, WordPress 5.6+, PHP 7.0+, and a PayPal account as requirements, with PayPal Payouts optional. These are the versions stated in that extension’s documentation, not a recommendation to run outdated software. Check the extension’s current compatibility information and current WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP requirements before installing. Product Vendors documentation.

WCFM Marketplace

WCFM’s setup documentation describes a wizard and dependencies involving WooCommerce and WCFM components. Because the page’s listed minimum versions are dated, confirm present compatibility and dependencies in current documentation rather than treating those minimums as safe versions to deploy. A practical shortlist by marketplace model

  • For a general-purpose marketplace: Compare Dokan, WC Vendors, WCFM Marketplace, MultiVendorX, and Product Vendors against your must-have commission and seller workflows; do not choose on ranking alone.
  • For automated vendor payments: Start with the payment rail and account prerequisites you can support, then verify which plan or add-on enables the transfer. Product Vendors documents PayPal Payouts with a pre-approved PayPal Business account; WC Vendors’ vendor-published comparison describes Stripe Connect payouts in Pro.
  • For physical and digital products, with possible bookings: Product Vendors explicitly describes physical and digital product support and WooCommerce Bookings integration for time-based bookings. Confirm the current integration and costs for your intended setup.
  • For a niche marketplace model: MultiVendorX is mentioned for niche models and bookings in comparison coverage, but validate the exact feature in its current official documentation before relying on it.
  • For budget planning: Compare the total for the plan and extensions that contain your required workflow, not just the free core or advertised starting price.
