You cannot manually change the country on a Netflix account. Netflix says the account country changes only when you move to a new country. If you are traveling, keep using Netflix normally; if Netflix detects the wrong location, troubleshoot your network or VPN instead.
Which situation describes you?

If you moved permanently
Netflix is available in more than 190 countries, and each country has its own mix of Netflix originals and licensed titles. Netflix states that the country on an account cannot be changed unless the subscriber moves to a new country.
For a relocation, open Netflix Help Center and follow the current Moving with Netflix instructions. That guidance covers the account and billing details for a move; the exact workflow can vary by destination and payment method. Do not try to force a new country by changing a device region, reinstalling the app, or switching networks.
If you are traveling abroad
Travel does not require changing your account country. Netflix supports watching on phones, computers, hotel televisions, and holiday-rental televisions while you are away.

- The catalog may differ from what you see at home.
- Audio and subtitle options can change.
- My List and Continue Watching may not look identical.
- Maturity ratings can differ by country.
- Some downloads may be unavailable or behave differently.
- Payment-method eligibility can vary by country.
These differences are expected when Netflix identifies you outside the country where you signed up.
If you use Netflix from the same second location often
For a second home or another recurring location, Netflix advises streaming for a few seconds from your main location and then streaming again from the second location once a month. This is a connection-refresh routine, not a way to change the account country or unlock another country’s catalog.

If Netflix detects the wrong country
Check Netflix’s detected location
- Open Fast.com on the device experiencing the problem.
- Select Show more info.
- Find Client country and compare it with your physical location.
If the client country does not match where you are, Netflix says a VPN may be enabled. Check VPN, proxy, smart-DNS, router, security, or corporate-network settings and disable the service that is masking your region. If you do not control the network, contact the VPN provider, internet service provider, or network administrator.

Netflix says a VPN hides your region and allows only titles available globally. In other words, a VPN is not an account-country switch and can reduce the selection you can watch rather than provide the catalog of a chosen country.

What to expect from each approach
- Moved: Follow Netflix’s moving guidance for the new country and billing arrangement.
- Visiting: Keep the existing account and expect location-dependent catalog and feature differences.
- Recurring travel: Use Netflix’s monthly streaming routine from both locations.
- Wrong detection: Verify Client country on Fast.com and remove the VPN or network cause.
