Cancel CyberGhost through the company or store that charged you. Direct website purchases are cancelled in your CyberGhost account under Subscriptions; Apple, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and other seller purchases must be cancelled in that seller’s subscription settings. Cancellation stops future automatic billing, but it does not automatically refund a payment or delete your CyberGhost account.
Find the place that bills you
Check your receipt, bank statement, or app-store purchase history before starting. The billing merchant—not necessarily CyberGhost itself—controls cancellation and payment questions.
| Where you purchased | Where to cancel | Who handles refund requests |
|---|---|---|
| CyberGhost website | CyberGhost account > profile menu > Subscriptions > Cancel subscription | CyberGhost support |
| Apple App Store | Apple account subscription settings | Apple, at its discretion |
| Google Play | Google Play > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > CyberGhost | Google Play, at its discretion |
| Amazon Appstore or another seller | That store or seller’s subscription controls | The seller or store |
Cancel a CyberGhost website subscription
- Sign in to the CyberGhost account used to buy the subscription.
- Open the profile menu and select Subscriptions.
- Select Cancel subscription and complete the confirmation prompt.
- Check the subscription status or expiry date in the account dashboard to verify that recurring billing is disabled.
Your access normally continues through the paid period rather than ending immediately. Cancelling disables automatic renewal; it is not, by itself, a refund request.
Cancel through Apple
For an App Store purchase, open the Apple account’s subscription settings on the device or Apple account that made the purchase, select CyberGhost, and confirm cancellation. Apple handles App Store refunds, and approval is governed by Apple’s policies rather than by CyberGhost.

Cancel through Google Play
- Open Google Play and tap your profile icon.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select CyberGhost.
- Choose Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
This prevents the next renewal. Charges already paid are not automatically returned; Google Play handles any refund request.
Cancel an Amazon Appstore or other seller purchase
Use the subscription-management controls of the Amazon account or other seller that processed payment. If you bought through a physical gift card or third-party seller, contact that seller and follow its refund policy. CyberGhost cannot replace the merchant’s billing controls.

Cancellation, refunds, and account deletion are different
Cancellation
Cancellation turns off future automatic charges. It does not erase the account and does not automatically return money from a previous charge.
Refund
A refund requires a separate request. Contact CyberGhost support for a direct website purchase. For Apple or Google Play purchases, submit the request to the relevant store; the store decides whether to approve it.

Account deletion
Deleting your CyberGhost account is a separate action. Do not delete the account as a substitute for cancelling recurring billing, because account removal does not identify or reverse a store subscription.
If the cancel option is missing
- Sign out and back in with the account shown on the CyberGhost receipt; a different login may have no subscription attached.
- Check the merchant on your receipt or payment statement. If Apple, Google, Amazon, or another seller charged you, manage the subscription there.
- Look for a current expiry date or cancelled status in the relevant account dashboard.
- If you still cannot locate the subscription, contact the billing merchant. CyberGhost lists email, an online request form, and 24/7 live chat as support routes for billing help.
What happens after cancellation?
Future renewals should stop once the cancellation is confirmed, while a direct CyberGhost subscription remains usable through the already-paid period according to CyberGhost’s support guidance. Keep the confirmation screen or email and monitor the next billing date on your merchant account. Store interfaces and menu labels can change, so use the current labels shown in your account.
