If Bumble opens with no photos, bio, matches, or conversations, first log out and sign in with the exact method used to create the original account. Bumble says using a different method—such as a phone number instead of Facebook—can open a separate, empty profile. If the correct account is selected but content will not load, troubleshoot the connection, app, permissions, and device before contacting Bumble Support. Do not delete the account while you are still diagnosing it.
Identify which blank-profile problem you have

Few matches or an empty discovery queue is not, by itself, proof that the profile is technically blank or that Bumble has applied a “shadowban.” User anecdotes cannot establish that diagnosis.
Fix an empty profile by using the original login method
This is the most important first check. Bumble’s guidance says an account created with one authentication method can appear empty when you enter through another method.
- Open Bumble and go to your profile screen.
- Open Settings, scroll down, and choose Log out.
- Sign in with the method originally used to create the account: phone number, Facebook, Apple, or Google, where that option is available in your app and region.
- Check whether the original photos, bio, matches, and conversations return.

Do not delete the apparently empty account before trying the original method. Recovery is not guaranteed, and deleting or repeatedly recreating accounts can complicate authentication, subscriptions, verification, and account history.
Repair a profile that will not load
If you are certain you are in the correct account, work through these steps in order. Menu names can vary slightly by phone manufacturer, operating-system version, country, and Bumble redesign.

- Test the connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, briefly toggle Airplane Mode, and try another Wi-Fi network. Temporarily disable a VPN, ad blocker, private DNS, or other network filter to test whether it is interfering.
- Force-close Bumble. Remove it from the recent-apps screen and reopen it. On Android, use Settings → Apps → Bumble → Force stop, then launch Bumble again.
- Update the app. Open the official iOS App Store or Google Play Store, search for Bumble, and install any available update.
- Check permissions and storage. Confirm access to location, camera, photos, and (if you want alerts) notifications. Free storage if the phone is nearly full; low storage can make apps unstable.
- Temporarily turn off device restrictions. Disable Battery Saver and, only for the test, VPN or ad-blocking tools. Restore privacy and security controls afterward.
- Restart the phone. Bumble recommends powering it off for about 30 seconds before turning it on again.
- Clear Android cache. Go to Settings → Apps → Bumble → Storage → Clear cache, then reopen Bumble.
- Clear Android app data if needed. The same screen may offer Clear data. Bumble says this does not delete your account, but it removes local app data and signs you out. Confirm that you know the correct login method first.
- Reinstall Bumble. After confirming the account and sign-in method, uninstall the app, reinstall it from the official store, and sign in again. Reinstallation resets the local installation; it cannot repair server-side account data.

Check whether visibility settings are hiding the profile
Snooze Mode
Snooze Mode hides your profile temporarily without deleting its information. In Bumble, open your profile, tap the Settings icon, choose Snooze Mode, and select 24 hours, 72 hours, one week, or indefinitely. You can turn it off at any time and choose an away status or remain invisible. Snooze Mode does not pause an existing paid subscription. Details are in Taking a break from online dating.

Incognito Mode
Incognito Mode is a Premium and Premium+ feature that limits discovery to people you have liked. It restricts visibility; it does not normally erase the profile shown to its owner. Bumble also does not show active-now or last-seen indicators, so their absence is not evidence of a blank profile. See Using incognito mode.
What not to do
- Do not delete the account as a first troubleshooting step. Bumble says deletion can remove data, matches, and conversations after 28 days, and that removal cannot be undone.
- Do not repeatedly create new accounts; each attempt can produce another empty profile and make recovery harder.
- Do not treat low visibility, few likes, or an empty queue as proof of a shadowban.
- Do not buy Premium, Spotlight, or another paid feature as a technical repair.
- Do not permanently disable a VPN, antivirus, ad blocker, or other security control; disable it only long enough to test.
When to contact Bumble Support
Contact Support when the original login method does not restore the account; different phone, Facebook, Apple, or Google credentials open different profiles; onboarding keeps returning; photos, matches, or chats remain missing; verification will not finish; you see an error code; the account appears restricted or banned; or the problem persists after updating, reinstalling, and testing another network.

Bumble recommends including the exact issue, a screenshot, your device type, operating-system version, and what happened immediately before the problem. Also record:
- The sign-in method you used and any recent change to your phone number, email, Facebook, Apple ID, or Google account
- Whether the issue occurs on one device or several
- When it began and whether it happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data
- Your Bumble app version and phone model
- Whether the account has an active subscription
Send these details through Bumble’s troubleshooting support page. Support may require identity verification, and it cannot be assumed that every missing conversation or match will be recoverable.

Deletion is not account repair
If you are considering starting over, pause first. Bumble’s Snooze guidance explains that deleted account data, matches, and conversations are removed after 28 days and cannot be undone. Use Snooze if you want a break; use Support for an account that is empty, inaccessible, moderated, or stuck in verification. Bumble’s profile-management resources are listed under Your profile.
The Bottom Line
Most empty profiles after login are account-selection problems, not erased data: log out and use the original sign-in method first. If the correct account still will not load, troubleshoot the app and device, check Snooze or Incognito, and contact Bumble before deleting or recreating the account.
