Use Chrome’s built-in long-screenshot feature on Android, or Chrome DevTools on a computer. Android provides a crop-and-save workflow; on desktop, the reported DevTools command is Capture full size screenshot, which downloads a PNG. The desktop menu can change between Chrome releases, so verify the label in your version.

The two workflows are not identical. Android lets you choose how far down the page to extend the image by moving crop handles. The desktop command attempts to capture the entire document rather than only the visible viewport.
Android: make a scrolling screenshot in Chrome
- Open the webpage in Chrome and wait until the content you need is loaded.
- Tap Chrome’s More menu.
- Tap Share, then choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the crop handles to include the required length. Move the lower handle down for more content, or move it up to trim the capture.
- Tap Confirm.
- Use the resulting Android share or save controls to send the image to another app or save it on the device.
This is a manually selected extended region, not a promise that every element below the page will be included. If a page has not finished loading, scroll through it first and retry so that the content you expect is present before you start the long screenshot.
If “Long screenshot” is missing
- Confirm that you are using Chrome on Android rather than Chrome on a computer or another mobile operating system.
- Update Chrome and Android, then reopen the page. Google can change menu placement and availability by release.
- Look under More > Share after the page is open; the option is part of Chrome’s share flow, not the Android power-and-volume screenshot shortcut.
- If the page is inside an app’s embedded browser, open its URL in the full Chrome app and try again.
Desktop: capture the full page with Chrome DevTools
The desktop procedure below comes from a Chrome Community report rather than a dedicated desktop Chrome Help page. It is a built-in DevTools workflow as reported there, and the result is described as a PNG download. Chrome’s wording can change, so treat the command name as the label to look for rather than a permanent guarantee.

- Open the page in Chrome and let it finish loading.
- Open DevTools. You can use Chrome’s menu: More tools > Developer tools, or your operating system’s DevTools shortcut.
- Open the DevTools Run command menu. In current DevTools this is commonly opened with Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows/Linux or Command+Shift+P on macOS.
- Type screenshot into the command search field.
- Choose Capture full size screenshot.
- Wait for Chrome to generate the file. The community guidance says it downloads as a PNG, normally through Chrome’s regular download location.
Do not select the ordinary viewport screenshot command if you need content below the window. The full-size command is the one intended to include the document beyond the visible area.
When the desktop result is incomplete
- Content appears only after scrolling: scroll through the page once before invoking the command. Some sites load images or sections lazily as they approach the viewport.
- A dialog, cookie notice or chat bubble covers the page: dismiss it before opening the Run command menu. The DevTools capture records the page state that Chrome has rendered.
- The command is not listed: search for “screenshot” exactly, make sure DevTools has focus, and reopen it after updating Chrome. Menu names and availability can vary by release.
- The file is too large: capture a shorter region with the Android workflow, or capture selected sections separately on desktop. A full-document PNG can be large on long, image-heavy pages.
- You expected clipboard output: the cited desktop discussion describes a PNG download. It does not establish a built-in clipboard destination, so plan to use the downloaded file.

Chrome captures only the visible window
On desktop, reopen DevTools, open the Run command menu and choose Capture full size screenshot, not a viewport screenshot. On Android, use More > Share > Long screenshot rather than the standard hardware-key screenshot.
The page is blank or missing images
Wait for loading to finish, reload the page, and scroll through it once. A page that depends on interaction or delayed requests may not have rendered its lower content when the capture starts.

A fixed header or popup obscures text

Reliability and privacy considerations
