To capture a webpage beyond the visible screen, use your phone’s scrolling or Full Page screenshot feature, or a browser’s full-page capture tool on desktop. The exact steps depend on your device and browser—and the result may be an image or a PDF. Choose the section below that matches how you are viewing the page.
What a full-page screenshot captures
A normal screenshot records only what is visible on the screen at that moment. A full-page or scrolling screenshot extends the capture beyond the viewport to include more of the page. On a phone, you may be able to extend the capture by dragging crop handles; some browser tools capture the entire webpage in one operation.
Check the output format before you share or use the capture. Some workflows save an image, while Firefox for iOS documents saving the full-page capture as a PDF. A PDF is often more suitable when you want a long page as a document, but it is not a PNG or JPEG image.
Take a full-page screenshot in Firefox on a computer
Firefox’s Developer Tools include a control for capturing an entire page. Mozilla’s instructions apply to Firefox desktop; if the control is missing, enable it in the toolbox settings first. Mozilla Firefox Source Docs: Taking screenshots.

- Open the webpage you want to capture in Firefox.
- Open Developer Tools. The keyboard shortcut varies by operating system and configuration; you can also open the browser’s developer tools from its menus.
- In the Developer Tools settings, find Available Toolbox Buttons.
- Enable Take a screenshot of the entire page. The screenshot control should appear in the Developer Tools toolbar.
- Click the screenshot control to capture the full page. Mozilla says the resulting file is saved to the browser’s Downloads directory.
Firefox’s screenshot tools can also capture an individual element. That is a separate operation: use the entire-page control when you want the page, rather than a selected element.
Take a full-page screenshot on iPhone
Apple documents a Full Page view for content extending beyond the screen, including an entire webpage in Safari. The hardware button combination for taking a screenshot depends on the iPhone model. - Open the webpage in Safari and take a screenshot using the method supported by your iPhone.
- Tap the screenshot preview before it disappears.
- Choose Full Page to view the extended capture.
- Inspect the capture and crop it if needed, then save or share it using the available options.
The Full Page view is useful when the capture needs to include content below the screen. Apple’s instructions describe capturing content such as an entire webpage; they do not establish that every app or kind of scrollable content behaves identically.

Save a Firefox page on iOS as a PDF
Mozilla documents a Firefox for iOS route that uses the iPhone screenshot preview and saves the full-page result as a PDF. Follow these steps if a document is acceptable—or preferable—to an image. - In Firefox for iOS, take a screenshot using the normal iPhone screenshot action.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail, then choose Full Page.
- Tap Done and select Save as PDF.
Take a scrolling screenshot on Android
Google documents scrolling screenshots for Android 12 and later on most screens that allow scrolling. Availability also depends on device support. Google Android Help: Take a screenshot or record your screen on an Android device.
- Open a screen that has more content than fits in the display.
- Take a screenshot using the button action supported by your device.
- Tap Capture more when the screenshot controls appear.
- Adjust the crop guides to include the portion of the page you want, then save the capture.
Google’s steps cover Android 12 and later and most scrollable screens, not every device or app. If Capture more is missing or the procedure does not work, check the phone maker’s support instructions for your specific model.

Use Chrome’s Long screenshot option on Android

- Open the webpage in Chrome for Android.
- Tap More, then Share.
- Choose Long screenshot.
- Drag the crop handles to include the content you need, then complete the save or share action shown on your device.

What about Edge or Safari on a Mac?
Current official capture instructions for Microsoft Edge and Safari on macOS are not established here, so no menu path is provided for either browser. Troubleshoot a missing or incomplete capture
The phone does not offer a scrolling or full-page option
- On Android, check the OS version. Google’s scrolling-screenshot instructions cover Android 12 and later.
- Try a screen that actually scrolls. Android’s documented behavior is for most screens that allow scrolling, not every display.
- Check manufacturer instructions. Google recommends consulting the device maker when its steps do not work on a particular device.
- On iPhone, open the screenshot preview. Apple’s Full Page workflow starts from the preview; if the view or option differs, consult current instructions for your iPhone and iOS version.
The Firefox desktop control is missing
Open Developer Tools settings and check Available Toolbox Buttons. Enable Take a screenshot of the entire page, then look for the control in the toolbar.
The Chrome desktop command is unavailable
The documented route comes from a Chrome Community response. Verify the command name and availability for your current Chrome version; the community procedure does not establish that every release exposes it in the same way.

The capture misses content or behaves unexpectedly
Capture behavior for embedded scroll areas and unusually long pages has not been established across these browser and device workflows. If the result is incomplete, try the relevant built-in method in another supported browser or use a capture tool designed for webpage screenshots. Do not assume that every full-page feature handles every page structure identically.
