Croosing’s Superlinks Turned Ordinary URLs Into Guided Marketing Journeys

In January 2017, Croosing introduced “Superlinks,” a hyperlink concept designed to move visitors through a curated sequence of online destinations instead of ending at one page. Contemporary reports described a journey that could combine websites, videos, annotations and audio. It was a notable attempt to make the post-click experience part of the marketing campaign itself—not merely a route to a landing page.

Superlinks should be understood as a historical product launch. Current Croosing operations, pricing, documentation and product availability could not be verified. A historical Croosing.com record described a personalized, “autonomous browsing experience,” but that record does not show that the service still operates.

What was Croosing?

Trend Hunter described Croosing as a web-marketing company, while BestTechie called it a Tel Aviv-based startup that had recently launched Superlinks. Those descriptions establish how the company was presented publicly at the time; they do not independently confirm its founders, funding, customer base or long-term business performance.

The company’s apparent focus was the hyperlink as a marketing and storytelling instrument. Instead of treating a link as a single destination, Croosing presented it as a way to choreograph what a visitor encountered next.

What was a Superlink?

A Superlink was presented as an enhanced hyperlink with three defining characteristics:

  • Sequential navigation: the visitor could be taken through several destinations.
  • Curated context: the marketer or storyteller could define the order and relationship between those destinations.
  • Additional media: contemporary coverage said journeys could include annotations and a soundtrack.

Trend Hunter also reported that marketers could set destinations and the amount of time users spent on pages. That is a reported product claim, not independently verified evidence that the control worked across every browser or website.

The available accounts do not establish whether Superlinks used redirect chains, browser scripts, a special URL format, a hosted campaign layer or another architecture. It would be misleading to assert a specific implementation.

How the proposed journey worked

BestTechie used music promotion to illustrate the idea:

  1. A visitor clicks a link associated with a band or album.
  2. The first destination is the band’s discography.
  3. The journey continues to a YouTube track.
  4. The visitor is then directed to the band’s website or another relevant destination.

This example is best read as an explanation of the intended experience, not as a verified live demonstration. The link was meant to function as a preplanned sequence of persuasive touchpoints rather than a simple page selector.

What problem was Croosing trying to solve?

A conventional hyperlink sends someone to one page and leaves the next decision to the visitor. The visitor may close the tab, become distracted, miss supporting information or never discover the next asset in a campaign. Content may also be scattered across a company site, YouTube, a retailer and other services.

Superlinks proposed a more deliberate post-click path. In the product’s reported model, a marketer could decide which pages appeared, how they related to one another and—according to Trend Hunter—how long the visitor remained on them. The strategic promise was tighter continuity between an advertisement or piece of content and the story that followed.

Who was the intended customer?

Coverage identified marketers, advertisers, e-commerce businesses, brands and storytellers as likely users. Plausible applications of the described functionality included:

  • Explaining a product before asking for a purchase.
  • Connecting several stages of a digital advertising campaign.
  • Promoting music, films or other entertainment across multiple services.
  • Guiding readers through editorial or branded storytelling.
  • Leading prospects through related information before a form or checkout step.
  • Combining a company’s pages with selected third-party media.

These are use cases implied by the design, not documented Croosing customer deployments or proven campaign results.

Superlinks versus an ordinary link or landing page

Ordinary hyperlink or landing page Proposed Superlink
Usually points to one destination. Intended to orchestrate several destinations.
The visitor chooses what to inspect next. The marketer predefines a sequence.
Content generally stays on one page or site. The journey could span pages and external services.
Measurement commonly centers on clicks and conversions. The concept implied control over the broader journey.
The experience often ends when the visitor leaves the page. The link was intended to continue the experience.

No reliable independent study in the available coverage shows that Superlinks improved conversion rates, consumer interest or revenue.

The trade-offs of navigation choreography

User control versus marketer control

A prescribed path can make a campaign easier to follow, but it can also feel coercive if visitors cannot skip, go back or stop easily. A clearly labeled, user-controlled sequence is less likely to be mistaken for an unwanted redirect.

Engagement versus friction

Extra pages may provide useful context, yet every transition adds load time and another chance to abandon the journey. Slow connections, mobile screens and unexpected audio or video could make the experience particularly difficult.

Narrative consistency versus platform dependence

A path through YouTube, a brand site and another service can be compelling, but URL changes, outages, redirect restrictions or policy changes on any one platform can break it.

Personalization versus privacy

An adaptive journey might be more relevant, but personalization can involve cookies, cross-domain tracking or profiling. The available accounts do not say what Croosing collected, how consent worked or whether visitors could opt out.

Control versus accessibility and trust

Automatic navigation can challenge keyboard and screen-reader users, while sound that starts without warning can exclude or annoy visitors. A sequence that resembles a forced redirect may also trigger browser warnings or phishing concerns.

How the idea differs from modern marketing tools

Superlinks resemble several current categories without being identical to any of them:

  • Landing-page builders keep a visitor on a designed page and optimize that destination.
  • Link-in-bio tools present multiple choices for the visitor to select.
  • Branded short links simplify, brand or track a destination URL.
  • Deep-linking platforms route users to a particular screen in an app or website.
  • Interactive-storytelling tools construct branching or sequential narratives.
  • Marketing-automation systems trigger email, CRM or advertising actions based on behavior rather than automatically moving the browser.
  • Retargeting systems follow up with advertising after a visit instead of guiding the visitor immediately through several pages.

The distinctive concept reported for Croosing was navigation choreography: turning the hyperlink into a mechanism for sequencing a visitor’s experience.

What is actually verified?

  • Trend Hunter’s contemporary coverage is dated January 30, 2017: trendhunter.com/trends/croosing.
  • BestTechie described Croosing as a Tel Aviv-based startup and reported that it had recently launched Superlinks: besttechie.com/croosing-superlinks.
  • Those reports describe multi-page journeys, annotations and sound, and Trend Hunter reports marketer-selected destinations and page time.
  • The historical Accessify entry describes Croosing.com as directing a targeted audience through a personalized journey toward an outcome: accessify.com/c/croosing.com.

The sources do not establish the founders, investors, pricing, technical architecture, browser compatibility, named customers, performance data, regulatory compliance or whether Superlinks reached general availability.

Is Croosing or Superlinks still available?

There is no verified current signup page, pricing page, product documentation or operating-company presence in the sources available for this article. That supports treating Superlinks as a historical or inactive product concept, but it does not prove whether Croosing closed, was acquired, was renamed or simply stopped publishing. The safest current status is unverified availability.

What marketers can use today instead

These services address adjacent needs, not necessarily the same enforced multi-step journey:

  • Bitly for branded links, link management and click analytics.
  • Rebrandly for organizational branded-link management.
  • Linktree for a selectable collection of destinations.
  • Branch for deep linking and attribution, especially in mobile apps.
  • Unbounce for landing pages and conversion testing.
  • HubSpot Marketing Hub for CRM, forms, email and behavior-based workflows.

The appropriate choice depends on the job: a tracked URL, a menu of links, app routing, one optimized offer or personalized follow-up. Any modern implementation should be checked for consent, accessibility, mobile performance, third-party compatibility, analytics quality and an obvious way to skip or exit.

Why the 2017 launch still matters

Superlinks captured an enduring marketing question: is a click merely a handoff to a page, or the beginning of a designed journey? Croosing’s proposal anticipated today’s emphasis on coordinated post-click experiences, but the contemporary coverage does not show that it became a successful commercial platform or directly caused later products. Its clearest significance is conceptual—the attempt to make navigation itself part of the campaign.
