Xiaomi officially launched the standard Redmi Watch 5 in Brazil on March 18, 2025. The suggested launch price was R$1,399.99, with reports of an official-store cash price around R$1,287.99. It combines a large 2.07-inch AMOLED display, integrated GNSS, Bluetooth calling and Xiaomi’s claimed typical battery life of up to 24 days. Prices and stock can change, so those figures should be treated as launch information rather than a current offer.
Price and availability in Brazil
The Brazilian launch covered Xiaomi’s regular Redmi Watch 5, not the Redmi Watch 5 Active or an imported Chinese-market version. Xiaomi made it available through its Brazilian e-commerce operation, official stores and kiosks, and partner retailers on March 18, 2025, according to Canaltech and 33Giga.
- Suggested launch price: R$1,399.99.
- Reported cash or instant-payment price: approximately R$1,287.99 at the official store.
- Brazilian launch colors: silver and black.
A later retailer listing displayed R$1,287.99 but also indicated an availability alert, so buyers should verify the live price, seller, warranty and stock before purchasing through the Mi Brasil listing.
What the Redmi Watch 5 offers
Large AMOLED screen
The watch has a square 2.07-inch AMOLED panel with 432 × 514-pixel resolution and 324 ppi. Xiaomi specifies brightness of up to 1,500 nits in HBM mode, a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz, approximately 2 mm borders and an 82% screen-to-body ratio. Xiaomi notes that refresh rate can vary by interface, and the 1,500-nit figure is a manufacturer HBM claim rather than a promise of continuously sustained brightness.
#1 Best Overall
- Two year warranty against factory defects.
The size is useful for reading notifications, viewing workout data and selecting controls outdoors, although it is less compact than a conventional fitness band.
Battery and construction
Xiaomi lists a 550 mAh battery and claims up to 24 days in typical use, described as a 20% improvement over the Redmi Watch 4. The company says the figure comes from internal laboratory testing; frequent GPS sessions, continuous heart-rate or blood-oxygen monitoring, calls, high brightness, vibration and notifications can reduce endurance substantially.

- Compatibility: only supports smartphones with Android 8.0 and above, iOS 12.0 and above
- 1.96" AMOLED ultra-clear large display with rich, natural colours. Boasts a 75.80% screen-to-body ratio with a larger interface on a similar watch size. Also supports AOD to provide a comprehensive and elevated user experience.
- A receiver-independent built-in five-system GNSS chip supports satellite positioning, for more convenient workouts without the need to bring your smartphone along.
- With the Bluetooth calling function*, dual-mic noise cancellation and 80cm* directional audio pickup, it supports an extended call range with wider coverage for clearer and more flexible communication.
- 150+ workout modes for a healthy training Experience sports modes like running, walking, and cycling. Follow the instructions to warm up* and get into the workout zone faster. Plus, join our pro running courses!
The case measures 47.5 × 41.1 × 11.3 mm, excluding the strap and protrusions, and weighs approximately 33.5 g without the strap. It uses an aluminum-alloy middle frame, a rotating stainless-steel crown and replaceable quick-release straps. The full technical details are listed by Xiaomi Brasil.
GPS, sports and health tracking
Integrated five-system GNSS supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS. The watch can therefore record outdoor routes without relying on the phone’s positioning receiver, though connected functions such as calls, notifications and synchronization still require a paired phone.

Xiaomi advertises more than 150 sports modes, heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen (SpO₂) readings, sleep and stress tracking, vitality-related metrics and breathing exercises. Xiaomi also claims a 5.2% improvement in heart-rate accuracy and a 10% improvement in sleep-recognition accuracy compared with the Redmi Watch 4. Those are internal company comparisons, not independent clinical validation.
Xiaomi’s product documentation states that the watch and its measurements are not intended to diagnose, prevent, predict or cure disease. Readings can vary with fit, movement, skin characteristics and conditions, so they should be treated as wellness information rather than medical results.

Bluetooth calls, music and software
Phone calls require a nearby smartphone
The Redmi Watch 5 includes a speaker, dual microphones, wind-noise reduction and Xiaomi’s claimed directional sound pickup distance of up to 80 cm. It supports Bluetooth phone calls when connected to a smartphone. It is not described in Xiaomi Brazil’s specifications as an LTE, eSIM or standalone cellular watch, and Xiaomi notes that third-party app voice calls are not currently supported.
Music has an Android limitation
Xiaomi says music can be transferred to the watch from an Android smartphone and played through connected headphones. The specifications list 164 MB of available local storage. The Brazilian product page does not establish streaming-service support, and transferring music is not presented as an iPhone feature.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Connectivity the Brazilian specifications do not list
- Wi-Fi: not listed in Xiaomi Brazil’s specifications.
- eSIM, LTE and cellular data: not listed; do not expect independent calls or mobile data.
- NFC: not listed in Xiaomi Brazil’s specifications, so contactless-payment support should not be assumed.
- Full smartwatch app ecosystem: the cited Brazilian pages do not promise the third-party app breadth associated with Wear OS, watchOS or premium sports platforms.
Water resistance and swimming
The watch carries a 5 ATM rating. Xiaomi describes this as suitable for certain water sports under specified conditions, but it is not a blanket guarantee for scuba diving, high-pressure jets, hot tubs or every aquatic environment. “Waterproof” is therefore too broad a description.
Redmi Watch 5 versus Redmi Watch 5 Active
The Redmi Watch 5 Active is a separate, more basic model. Its name should not be used as evidence for the standard Watch 5’s AMOLED panel, integrated GNSS, materials or feature set. Check the exact model name before comparing specifications or buying an imported listing.
What is included in the box
- Redmi Watch 5.
- Magnetic charging cable.
- User manual with warranty notice.
Is the Redmi Watch 5 worth considering?
It makes sense for
- People who prioritize a large, bright AMOLED display.
- Walkers, runners and cyclists who want built-in GNSS.
- Users seeking long claimed battery life and basic health tracking.
- Android or iPhone owners who want Bluetooth calls without buying a premium Apple, Samsung or Garmin model.
Look elsewhere if you need
- Standalone LTE calling, cellular data or phone-free messaging.
- Contactless payments or Wi-Fi features.
- A deep third-party app ecosystem or advanced training analytics.
- Independent validation of health-measurement accuracy.
- A small fitness band rather than a large rectangular watch.
The Redmi Watch 5’s strongest proposition in Brazil is the combination of its unusually large AMOLED screen, integrated GPS and long manufacturer-rated endurance. Its value in 2026 depends on the current Brazilian price and warranty, not solely on the R$1,399.99 launch MSRP; compare live offers with newer Xiaomi and competing watches before calling it a bargain.
