Globoplay is available in several countries outside Brazil, but an active, standalone international discount has not been verified. Globo’s official help pages confirm international plans and provider-based access, yet do not publish a current promotional price, end date, free trial, or “three months for the price of two” offer. Check the country-specific checkout page or your TV provider before paying.
What is actually confirmed
Globo’s international service is a real offering, separate from assuming that the Brazilian catalog works everywhere. However, the official information currently available does not confirm a named or dated international subscription promotion. Do not treat social-media posts, coupon sites, or user reports as proof of a Globo offer.
Verify any deal on the official Globoplay checkout, in the Apple or Google app store for your country, or in an eligible provider account. Globo’s subscription instructions are documented at its help center.

It is not a worldwide service. The availability list and catalog rules are set out in Globo’s international-availability article.
How to check whether an offer is genuine
- Open globoplay.globo.com/assine from the country where you will use the service.
- Sign in with a Conta Globo or create one.
- Record the plan name, currency, monthly or annual price and billing platform.
- Look for the discount amount, the number of discounted billing periods and the offer’s expiration date.
- Read the renewal price after the introductory period and whether taxes or app-store charges are added.
- Check eligibility: new customers, returning customers and existing subscribers may be treated differently.
- Read cancellation terms and save the confirmation email or a screenshot of the checkout terms.
If the same offer appears only in an unverified advertisement or social-media post, regard it as unconfirmed. A price reported by a user, including a claimed US$13.99 monthly rate, does not establish the current price in your country.
Ways to subscribe
Direct Globoplay subscription
International viewers can subscribe through the official web flow or through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app store may use different currency, taxes, renewal rules or prices from the web checkout, and Apple or Google may handle billing and cancellation.

Dish or Sling in the United States
Globo identifies qualifying Dish and Sling television packages as another route to Globoplay International. In that arrangement, Globoplay may be a package benefit rather than a separate direct subscription. You normally link the provider account to the titular’s Conta Globo; instructions are available at Globo’s operator-account guide.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches| Route | Best suited to | Important check |
|---|---|---|
| Direct Globoplay | Viewers who want Globo content without a broader pay-TV bundle | Compare web and app-store price, renewal and cancellation rules |
| Sling or Dish | US households already considering live television | Confirm the qualifying package, total bundle cost and provider cancellation process |
Before starting a direct subscription, check whether your Dish or Sling package already includes Globoplay International. Otherwise you could pay twice.
What the international service includes
Depending on territory and rights, the service may offer Brazilian series and films, Globoplay originals, novelas, Globo programs, live programming from Globo’s international channel and Canais Globo content. Premiere content may be viewable in some circumstances, but Globo says contracting Premiere is available only in Brazil.

This is not a mirror of the Brazilian catalog. Licensing rights differ by country; some imported programs are absent, and some shows may be edited when particular segments lack international clearance. Subtitle and dubbing availability should be checked title by title rather than assumed.
Sports and major-event limits
Do not subscribe expecting every Brazilian sports broadcast. Globo’s 2026 World Cup help page states that Globoplay International does not hold international rights to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Live matches, replays and match clips shown in programs therefore will not be available abroad through Globoplay International. See Globo’s World Cup notice.

Other competitions are also governed by territory-specific contracts, so a promotion cannot by itself expand the rights package.

Who is likely to find it worthwhile
Good fit
- You live in a listed country and mainly want Brazilian novelas, originals, films, news or entertainment.
- The displayed introductory price is meaningfully below the renewal price and you can set a cancellation reminder.
- You understand that the catalog is smaller or different from Brazil’s service.
Weak fit
- You live outside the supported markets.
- Your main reason is the 2026 World Cup or comprehensive Brazilian sports coverage.
- You require the complete Brazilian catalog, guaranteed subtitles or a particular title that has not been checked in your territory.
- You already receive the benefit through Dish or Sling.
Common problems and fixes
“Video unavailable for this region”
The message can mean the country is unsupported, a title lacks international rights, or your internet address is being mapped to the wrong country. Globo’s troubleshooting guidance is at this help page. Check your connection and, if the IP location is wrong, contact your internet provider or a technician.
Provider account will not unlock the app
The provider account must be associated with the titular’s Conta Globo. If it is already linked to another Conta Globo, unlinking and relinking may be required; follow the operator-account instructions rather than creating duplicate subscriptions.
Moving countries
If you move to a country where Globoplay is unavailable, the international subscription may stop working. Globo recommends canceling it and choosing an appropriate Brazilian plan where applicable. Someone who subscribed abroad and returns to Brazil can generally access Globoplay and Canais Globo, except Premiere and Combate.

Smart-TV purchase error
For eligible direct plans, a compatible Smart TV can start the purchase. If the TV displays “Oops, something went wrong,” scan its QR code and finish the transaction on the website. Globo describes this recovery path at its Smart-TV purchase page.
Cancellation and renewal checklist
- Identify who bills you: Globo, Apple, Google, Sling or Dish.
- Note the next renewal date and the full post-promotion price.
- Confirm whether cancellation stops future renewals or ends access immediately.
- For a provider bundle, check whether cancellation must be made with the provider.
- Keep the receipt and offer terms until the first renewal is processed.
Verdict
Globoplay International is available in selected markets, but the official information does not establish a current standalone promotion. Subscribe only after an official checkout or provider page shows your country, exact price, promotional period, renewal terms and included catalog. Treat any claimed discount, coupon or “three months for the price of two” deal as unverified until Globo, Apple, Google, Dish or Sling displays it directly.
