NVIDIA announced 14 games for GeForce NOW during January 2026, but they were not all playable on January 1. Five were identified as available in the first weekly update; five had specific later dates; and four were listed for January without a day. The announcement describes a scheduled catalog slate, not 14 games included free with a GeForce NOW membership.

NVIDIA’s announcement is the source for the titles, dates and access routes. “Available in the first update” means NVIDIA said those games could be streamed in that week; it does not establish that every title was available in every country or remained available indefinitely.

My Winter Car
NVIDIA listed this new Steam release as available in the first January update. Streaming requires the Steam edition in your library.

Eternights and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
These were listed through the Epic Games Store. The announcement also identified Space Marine 2 as RTX 5080-ready, a capability label rather than a guaranteed resolution or frame rate.

January additions without a specific day
Guild Wars: Reforged, Mon Bazou, Supermarket Simulator and Tavern Keeper were announced for the January slate without individual dates. Do not treat an undated listing as proof of availability on January 1 or on any particular day.
Factorio is separate from the 14
NVIDIA also highlighted Factorio in a separate “RTX 5080-Ready Games” section. It is not a fifteenth January release: the five first-update games plus the nine later-listed games total 14.
What “adds 14 games” means for ownership
GeForce NOW supplies remote gaming hardware and streaming. It generally connects libraries and subscriptions you already use, including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PC Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect, as described on NVIDIA’s service page. Most paid games in this January list still require a purchase or a qualifying subscription.
- Steam: buy or otherwise own the supported Steam edition, then link that account.
- Epic Games Store: own the Epic edition and select that storefront when launching.
- Xbox and PC Game Pass: use the supported Xbox/Game Pass entitlement and required account-linking flow.
- Region and edition: publisher participation, country support and the exact edition can affect whether a title appears.
NVIDIA currently advertises more than 4,500 PC games. That figure is a catalog claim, not a guarantee that every title in a connected storefront is playable. Its Install-to-Play feature, available exclusively to Performance and Ultimate members, expands access to more than 2,000 additional games when publisher participation and technical compatibility allow. You still need to own an eligible game; NVIDIA is not selling the game through that feature.

Which GeForce NOW plan makes sense?
Free/basic access
Free access is useful for checking whether your device, account and network work before paying. Expect the limitations shown for the basic tier, including potential queues and shorter sessions.
Performance
Performance is the practical choice for regular 1080p or 1440p play, queue priority and premium features without targeting NVIDIA’s highest-end cloud hardware. Confirm the live regional price at checkout; NVIDIA’s terms say fees can vary by provider, region and billing arrangement.
Ultimate
Ultimate targets high-refresh displays, demanding games, RTX features and users who want RTX 50-series cloud hardware. NVIDIA advertises up to 5K at 120 fps and up to 360 fps in supported scenarios, but those are maximums conditional on the game, device, display, connection and membership.
Day Pass
A Day Pass provides 24 hours of premium performance without a monthly commitment. NVIDIA says its cost can be applied toward the first month of membership. It is suited to testing latency, checking one of these games or playing during a short trip; frequent players should compare repeated passes with a monthly plan.

- POWERHOUSE 8-CORE GAMING PERFORMANCE — Driven by the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F with 8 cores and 16 threads, boosting up to 5.0 GHz for smooth, responsive gameplay and the ability to handle AAA titles, streaming, and background tasks all at once
- NEXT-GEN BLACKWELL ARCHITECTURE — The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is powered by NVIDIA's cutting-edge Blackwell GPU architecture, delivering a massive generational leap in rasterization and ray tracing performance so you can experience your games the way they were meant to be played.
- Simplistic Design: Enjoy the latest generation of Windows 11 Home for your everyday needs. *MSI recommends Windows 11 Pro for business use.
- Cool While Gaming: In conjunction with an ARGB fan Air Cooler, the Codex R2 features four system cooling fans; three in the front and one in the rear to pull in cool air and push heat out of the PC.
- Turn on the Bright Lights: With the built-in RGB lighting, take your gaming experience to the next level by pressing the MSI LED button to cycle through lighting options. Customize lighting even further with MSI Center software.
The 100-hour limit
NVIDIA’s FAQ says Performance and Ultimate members receive 100 hours of monthly playtime, with up to 15 unused hours eligible to roll over. After reaching the allowance, members can buy additional premium hours or continue with the basic experience until reset. The FAQ says that, beginning April 30, 2026, Install-to-Play remains available even when additional premium time has not been purchased. Read the current GeForce NOW FAQ before subscribing, especially if you expect to play heavily.
Network, device and controller requirements
NVIDIA recommends wired Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and latency below 80 milliseconds to a GeForce NOW data center. Its published bandwidth guidance is approximately 15 Mbps for HD streaming up to 60 frames per second and up to 65 Mbps for 5K at 120 fps. Higher targets consume more bandwidth, and a fast connection cannot remove latency caused by distance, congestion or poor Wi-Fi. See the complete system requirements.
- Test the service on the device and network you will actually use.
- Prefer Ethernet or a clean 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection; pause competing downloads and streams.
- Disable a VPN while troubleshooting, since routing can add delay.
- Choose a stream resolution and frame rate your connection can sustain.
- For TV play, plan on a compatible controller. NVIDIA lists Xbox controllers and PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 families among supported gamepads.
Actual image quality and frame rate vary with the device, game, membership, network and available GPU. “RTX 5080-ready” similarly indicates support for NVIDIA’s high-end hardware, not a fixed graphics preset or guaranteed frame rate.

The January CES coverage also described a native Linux PC app in development or early beta, a native Amazon Fire TV app, flight-control and HOTAS support, Gaijin single sign-on and further PC-store integration. These changes broaden where the service can be used, but they do not change the ownership requirement for the 14 games.

If a listed game does not appear or perform correctly
It is missing from search
- Check whether the announced rollout has completed.
- Search under the correct storefront rather than a different edition.
- Confirm whether the title requires Xbox or PC Game Pass instead of Steam.
- Check regional availability and account-linking requirements.
- Remember that an announced date can be an estimate, not a permanent availability guarantee.
You own it but cannot launch it
Verify the purchase storefront, linked account, supported edition, publisher opt-in or Install-to-Play requirement, and country support. A Steam purchase does not substitute for an Xbox/Game Pass entitlement when NVIDIA lists only that route.
The stream performs poorly
Try Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, stop other traffic, disable VPN routing, lower the selected resolution or frame rate, and confirm that your display and membership support the chosen mode. NVIDIA’s terms of use explain that service details, fees and availability may differ when an Alliance Partner provides the service.
Quick Recap
Who should use this January slate?
- Good fit: people who already own several listed Steam or Epic games; PC Game Pass members interested in the Xbox titles; and laptop, Mac, Chromebook, Linux, handheld, TV or phone players without a capable gaming PC.
- Less convincing: readers expecting the membership to include the games, users with unstable or high-latency connections, heavy players likely to exceed 100 premium hours, and anyone whose preferred edition is unsupported in their region.
- Best way to start: check ownership and storefront first, test free access or a Day Pass on your real network, then choose Performance or Ultimate only if the additional quality and session benefits match your display and playtime.
