Identify the watch before judging the discount
Apple’s current U.S. shopping page identifies the Apple Watch SE 3. A listing simply called “Apple Watch SE” could instead be the SE 2, and $189 could refer to the smallest case, GPS-only connectivity, a particular color or used stock. Require the model generation, case size, connectivity, condition, seller, included Sport Band and charging cable, and a manufacturer-backed warranty.
Who should buy it
An SE is a sensible lower-cost entry to notifications, workouts, Apple Pay and safety features when the buyer already uses a compatible iPhone. Apple describes the SE as water resistant to 50 meters on its shopping page; that is not scuba-diving certification. Cellular service is an additional carrier expense and is not required for the GPS model’s ordinary paired-iPhone use.

What you give up
Compared with higher-tier Apple Watch models, the SE line is aimed at basics rather than an always-on display, premium materials and the most advanced health sensors. Check the iPhone and iOS requirements shown on the exact product page, because an older watch can also have a shorter practical support horizon. Choose a newer or higher-tier model if those missing capabilities matter more than the lowest purchase price.

Match the printer to the workspace
FDM printers melt filament and are generally the practical choice for household parts, prototypes and cosplay. Resin printers can produce fine miniatures but require ventilation, gloves, washing and UV curing. An open-frame FDM printer is less suitable around children or pets; an enclosure improves temperature control and containment but adds heat, size and cost.
Check build volume, automatic leveling, software, replacement parts, noise, Wi‑Fi behavior and whether multicolor hardware is included. Multicolor printing can increase waste and print time. A quoted maximum speed is not a normal quality or reliability speed. Budget separately for filament or resin, spare nozzles, build plates, tools, ventilation and maintenance.

Best fit
Buy only when the exact machine has a credible parts and support channel and the workspace can handle it. Beginners in apartments generally benefit from a straightforward, enclosed or well-supported system; experienced makers may value a larger build volume or open ecosystem more than an attractive introductory price.
M2 MacBook Air for $829
Confirm the configuration
Apple introduced the redesigned M2 MacBook Air in 2022 (announcement). Apple’s technical page lists a base test configuration with an M2 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8GB unified memory and 256GB SSD (specifications). An $829 offer should state 13-inch or 15-inch size, memory, storage, color, charger, condition, seller and warranty.

When $829 makes sense
For web, office and student work, an M2 Air can be capable if 8GB memory and 256GB storage are genuinely sufficient. Coding projects with multiple services, large photo libraries and video timelines are more comfortable with 16GB memory and 512GB storage. Storage cannot be upgraded later, so do not accept the base configuration merely because the headline price looks low.
Older stock and practical limits
Compare the total price with a current-generation MacBook Air before committing. A newer chip may justify a modest premium through a longer support runway. Also check the port selection and external-display requirements for your workflow, and confirm battery health on refurbished units. Apple’s return policy and warranty may differ from a marketplace seller’s terms.

Ask whether $300 buys a new camera, open-box unit or refurbished product, and list every included battery, mount, case, memory card and cable. A GoPro subscription may be bundled; it is a recurring service, not a free accessory. Check cancellation and auto-renewal terms.
Who still benefits from a HERO12
The HERO12 remains relevant when you specifically need high-resolution action footage, strong stabilization, slow motion, HDR, vertical capture and waterproof operation. Confirm the required microSD-card type and capacity, and budget for an appropriate fast card. High resolution, high frame rates, stabilization, wireless use and warm weather can increase heat and reduce recording time.
When to skip it
Compare the camera-only price with a newer GoPro generation or a newer bundle at GoPro’s camera store. A slightly higher price that includes an extra battery, mounts and a card may be better value. Casual vacation shooters may not need an action camera’s premium features; action-sports users should prioritize the complete kit, support and return policy.

- Apply any coupon or membership requirement and verify the final pre-tax total at checkout.
- Check shipping, geographic eligibility, financing or trade-in conditions, and whether a subscription renews.
