AirPods Pro 2: an older-generation listing needs extra scrutiny

Check the exact version and seller
- Confirm whether the case uses USB-C or Lightning; the headline does not specify.
- Check that the listing says new, refurbished, renewed, open-box, or used. These conditions are not interchangeable.
- Confirm what charging case is included and whether the seller is Apple, an authorized retailer, or a marketplace seller.
- Read the warranty and return terms. A retailer’s refurbished-product warranty may differ from Apple’s coverage.
- Compare the verified Pro 2 price with AirPods Pro 3 and other current earbuds before deciding that the discount is worthwhile.
Skip listings with unclear condition, seller identity, warranty, or return rights. A low price alone does not establish authenticity or value.

Roku Express: compare the $20 claim with current sticks
Roku describes Express as a previous-generation set-top-style player that is no longer available for purchase, and points buyers to the 2025 Streaming Stick HD as a comparable replacement. Roku lists these prices with limited-time and stock qualifications. Its page describes the Stick HD as including a voice remote with TV controls; compare the remote and supported picture formats on the exact model listing rather than assuming an old Express has the same equipment. A $20 Express makes sense only if the particular unit is new, supported, returnable, and still cheaper after shipping. Avoid an unverified marketplace listing that does not clearly state the model or condition.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder: verify edition before comparing prices
The $50 price is not confirmed as a current U.S. offer. Before treating it as a discount, open the retailer listing and establish whether it is for a physical Switch cartridge or a digital download, and compare that exact edition with current prices at Nintendo and major retailers. - Do not call $50 a bargain unless the price is live and compares favorably with the same edition elsewhere.
LG OLED promotions: the model number is the deal
LG’s U.S. OLED page describes OLED sets as using self-lit pixels and lists promotions such as savings on selected large-screen TVs, discounts on selected TVs and touchscreens, installation benefits, and eligible TV-plus-soundbar offers. Compare like with like
Record the model family and year, full model number, screen size, and final price. Then check resolution, refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 and variable-refresh-rate support, brightness-related model differences, and the number of ports that support the features you need. Model and size matter: a promotion on one screen size does not establish a discount on another.

Calculate the real delivered cost
- Separate an outright price cut from a gift card, soundbar bundle, financing offer, or installation credit. A gift card is not the same as an immediate reduction at checkout.
- Check delivery, installation, wall mount, haul-away, return, and possible restocking charges before comparing retailers.
- Read the warranty terms, including any exclusions that may apply to burn-in, and check whether the stand or wall mount is included.
- Consider room brightness and viewing habits. OLED’s self-lit pixels support deep blacks and contrast, but buyers prioritizing a bright room or lower price should also compare LCD or Mini LED alternatives.
Choose an OLED for its picture characteristics and features, not simply because a page says “save up to.” The exact model’s price and promotion terms determine whether a particular offer is good.
