Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes: a large-scale JRPG
This April 23 day-one release is a JRPG built around a six-character party, more than 100 recruitable heroes, town management and minigames. Xbox listed it for cloud, console and PC. Its expansive cast and systems make it a natural pick for players looking for a substantial role-playing game. A contemporaneous Xbox weekly release roundup also listed its April 23 launch and Game Pass availability.
Another Crab’s Treasure: a crab-themed soulslike
Arriving April 25 as a day-one release across cloud, console and PC, this action-adventure casts players as Kril, a hermit crab who uses discarded trash as shells. Its unusual premise sets it apart from the wave’s more conventional sports, strategy and RPG releases.

Manor Lords: PC strategy in Game Preview
Manor Lords arrived April 26 as a day-one PC Game Pass title in Game Preview. It combines medieval city building, economic simulation and strategy with tactical battles. Xbox listed it for PC only in this announcement; it was not presented as a console Game Pass release. Game Preview identifies it as a title still in development.
Other additions across the wave
Orcs Must Die! 3 joined April 17 on cloud, console and PC. The action-and-tower-defense game can be played solo or in two-player co-op. Have a Nice Death, a 2D action roguelike, arrived on the final day of the month on cloud, console and PC.

Three games joined Game Pass Core
On April 23, Deep Rock Galactic, Superhot: Mind Control Delete and Wreckfest were added to the Game Pass Core library. These were Core additions, not a claim that all three were available through the broader cloud, console and PC catalog. Core and the main catalog are distinct access categories, so check the plan attached to a title if it does not appear in your library.
EA Play addition: EA Sports NHL 24
EA Sports NHL 24 arrived April 18 on console through EA Play, which Xbox presented as a Game Pass Ultimate benefit. It was not listed as a standard release across cloud, console and PC, so subscribers should not assume it was included with every Game Pass plan. Xbox noted its timing ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Six games were scheduled to leave April 30
| Game | Platforms listed | Who might prioritize it |
|---|---|---|
| 7 Days to Die | Cloud, console, PC | Players who want a survival game to settle into |
| Besiege | Cloud, console, PC | Players drawn to building and experimenting |
| EA Sports NHL 22 | Console | Console hockey fans; the only console-only departure |
| Loot River | Cloud, console, PC | Players seeking an action-focused game to explore before it leaves |
| Pikuniku | Cloud, console, PC | Players after a short, distinctive experience |
| Ravenlok | Cloud, console, PC | Players after a short, distinctive experience |
Xbox said Game Pass members could save 20% on purchases of departing games in its April 2024 announcement. That was the discount advertised at the time, not a guarantee of a current offer. Once a game leaves the catalog, a download alone does not provide continued access; buying the game is the route to keeping it, subject to the applicable store and account terms. Check any add-ons separately, since owning DLC does not necessarily include the base game.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to prioritize the final days
- For a major time commitment: Start with Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes among the new arrivals; before the deadline, consider 7 Days to Die, Besiege or Loot River.
- For a distinctive new release: Try Harold Halibut or Another Crab’s Treasure; both were day-one releases.
- For PC strategy: Put Manor Lords on the list, keeping in mind its PC-only listing and Game Preview status.
- For co-op action: Orcs Must Die! 3 supports solo play or two-player co-op.
- For a departing sports game: Console hockey fans should check EA Sports NHL 22 before April 30.
- For a shorter departing pick: Pikuniku or Ravenlok may be easier to fit in than a larger commitment.
These are practical suggestions based on genre and the stated removal date, not claims about review quality or playtime.

Updates and perks that were not new catalog games
The same Xbox announcement also mentioned ARK: Survival Ascended — Scorched Earth, Conan Exiles: Age of War Chapter 4, Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition, the Fallout 76 Vault 33 Survivor Kit and The Elder Scrolls Online 10th Anniversary Pack #1. These were DLC, game updates or Ultimate Perks, rather than additional Game Pass catalog games.
Keep the date window straight
This list covers April 16–30, not the full month. The separate April 2 Xbox announcement listed six games leaving on April 15: Amnesia Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, Back 4 Blood, Phantom Abyss, Research and Destroy and Soma. They fall outside the second-half window.
April 30 was both the scheduled departure date for the six games above and the arrival date for Have a Nice Death. Xbox’s announcement specified the date, not a universal removal time, so it does not establish an exact cutoff hour for every region.
