Samsung and Epic Games offered the iKONIK outfit and Scenario emote with qualifying Galaxy S10-series phones in 2019. The promotion ended during the September 25–26, 2019 transition, and there is no verified official way to redeem it on a Galaxy S10 in 2026. A used phone, “iKONIK code” or account sale cannot reliably recreate the offer.
What the iKONIK bundle included
The name iKONIK refers to the Fortnite outfit, styled around K-pop and created with iKON member Jung Chanwoo. Its companion Scenario emote drew on movement associated with iKON’s “Love Scenario.” Fans and Fortnite databases often call the two-item promotion the “IKONIK Bundle,” although that was shorthand rather than a normal shop bundle.
It was not a permanently free Fortnite skin. The cosmetic was available only after access to an eligible Samsung device and completion of the promotional claim. Samsung described the partnership and the S10-era iKONIK promotion in its announcement at Samsung Newsroom.
iKONIK is also distinct from Fortnite’s earlier Galaxy outfit, associated with devices such as the Galaxy Note9 and Tab S4, and from Glow, which replaced iKONIK later in 2019.

Why Samsung tied a Fortnite cosmetic to the Galaxy S10
The promotion turned a premium phone into a gateway to a scarce digital collectible. Fortnite’s cultural reach gave Samsung a way to market the Galaxy S10 to players, while the K-pop collaboration made the reward recognizable beyond the game.
That structure created unusual consumer behavior. Some players could justify buying an expensive phone partly for the outfit; owners who did not play Fortnite could redeem it for someone else using the handset; and collectors began treating the cosmetic as a status symbol after the hardware promotion disappeared. The resulting scarcity was a marketing effect, not evidence that the official offer was fraudulent.
Which Galaxy phones qualified?
The main listed devices were the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e. Some contemporary material also mentioned the S10 5G. Eligibility could differ by country, carrier and promotion terms, so no S10 variant should be treated as universally qualified. Regional Samsung guidance is preserved in the Samsung Community announcement.

The entitlement was generally limited to one claim per qualifying device, not an unlimited reward for every Epic account that signed in. A factory reset was not a legitimate way to generate another entitlement because eligibility was recorded by Samsung and Epic systems, not simply stored in the phone’s local files.
How redemption worked in 2019
The following is an historical archive, not a working 2026 tutorial. Menu names varied by region and Fortnite version.
- Install Fortnite on the qualifying Galaxy phone through the Samsung-supported Android route.
- Sign in to the Epic Games account that was supposed to receive the cosmetics, or create one.
- Open the Item Shop or V-Bucks area and locate the iKONIK offer.
- Make sure Fortnite was using the Samsung storefront or Samsung purchase context where the local instructions required it.
- Add a payment method if prompted.
- Confirm the promotion through the in-game purchase flow.
- The iKONIK outfit and Scenario emote were then added to that Epic account.
Samsung’s regional instructions specifically warned that users might need to switch the shop to Samsung and add a credit card even though the cosmetic itself was promotional. That prompt was part of the in-app eligibility and billing flow; it does not establish that every user was charged or that every country used identical requirements.

Why players encountered redemption failures
Community reports document recurring problems, but they are reports from individual users rather than proof that every handset had the same defect. Examples included:
- iKONIK missing from the shop
- No Samsung storefront option
- “In-app purchases denied” messages
- Payment errors such as
E100008/6050 - Fortnite installed from an unsupported source
- The wrong Epic account, Samsung account or store context being active
- Confusion over whether the one-time entitlement belonged to the phone, account or payment method
The sensible troubleshooting logic at the time was to verify the exact phone model and region, install through the supported Samsung route, sign in to the intended Epic account, confirm the Samsung store context, and check that the offer was still active. Repeated unofficial attempts were not a solution; unresolved cases belonged with Epic Player Support or Samsung support. Samsung Community threads include examples of the E100008/6050 reports at this support discussion.

| March 2019 | Samsung and Epic launched the S10-era iKONIK promotion. |
| Regional Samsung instructions | Availability through September 25, 2019. |
| Samsung US announcement dated September 25 | iKONIK and Scenario would be vaulted on September 26, 2019. |
| Older Samsung pages | Some reportedly showed December 31, 2019 before the offer was replaced. |
The safest conclusion is that redemption closed during the September 25–26 transition, with regional pages and later announcements using different cutoffs. A date from an old video should therefore be read in its original market and publication context.
What replaced iKONIK: Glow and Levitate
Samsung’s follow-up promotion moved to the Glow outfit and Levitate emote. Its announcement said iKONIK and Scenario were vaulted while Glow and Levitate became available to supported Galaxy owners: Samsung US. This handoff explains why an old tutorial may show a Samsung offer but lead to Glow information instead of iKONIK.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why “iKONIK codes” and account offers are dangerous
iKONIK was generally claimed through device- and account-based eligibility, not a standard transferable code marketplace. There is no verified official iKONIK code marketplace or current Epic redemption page. A seller’s “code” may instead mean access to an account, a claim made through someone else’s phone, a stolen account, a fake key or a phishing link. Community explanations also warned that supposed codes were not a normal redemption product: ReFortnite.

Epic’s current safety policy says buying, selling or sharing accounts violates its rules and can result in a ban. It also recommends trusting offers shown through official Epic channels and avoiding suspicious external pages: Epic account security. Secure any legitimate old account with a unique password, protected email and two-factor authentication.
What not to buy
- “Guaranteed” iKONIK activation services
- Skin generators or external login pages
- Fortnite accounts advertised as containing iKONIK
- Used Galaxy S10 phones marketed as certain redemption devices
Can you still get iKONIK in 2026?
Not through a verified official promotion. The offer expired in 2019. A used S10 may have already consumed its one-time device entitlement, may be from an unsupported market, or may simply be too late for the server-side promotion. No seller can legitimately guarantee a new claim, and buying an account to obtain the outfit violates Epic’s rules.
If an old account already contains iKONIK, the safe route is to recover and secure that original account. Do not transfer, lend or share it. Epic support can help with account access problems, but it cannot create a new entitlement for an expired promotion.
Final verdict
iKONIK remains a memorable example of hardware-gated digital scarcity: the Samsung promotion was genuine, the reward was desirable, and the redemption process was unusually awkward. Its one-device limit, payment prompts, regional instructions and conflicting expiry dates generated the mishaps; its scarcity then fed gray-market accounts and fake-code scams. Treat it as a discontinued 2019 collectible, not as a phone-buying opportunity or a currently redeemable Fortnite item.
