Overview

VTS Activate Multifamily is a resident app and operations dashboard for apartment communities, bringing building services, staff communication and amenity activity together. It best suits property teams that want residents to handle routine building tasks and bookings in one place. Its breadth is appealing, but custom pricing means a property should weigh the fit against its budget before committing.

Key features

The platform covers practical parts of day-to-day building operations: mobile access, maintenance requests, work orders, communications, package management and rent payments. Residents can use centralized access to unlock their units, amenities and shared spaces; that makes the app more than a communications channel, particularly for properties looking to consolidate access and service tasks.

Teams can publish interactive content, messages, events and surveys, and tailor experiences for different residents. They can also promote amenities and let residents book and pay for spaces, services and other offerings. Partner deals, in-app purchases and payments through a linked point-of-sale system extend that service model. These tools may suit communities seeking more resident engagement, though the value depends on which features a property actually uses.

VTS also describes real-time resident and property insights to help teams understand preferences, risks and opportunities. Its listed multifamily integration partners include Resman, Yardi, Entrata, VingCard and Genea, with integrations through APIs or SDKs. That partner range is relevant for operators assessing how the platform may fit existing systems; confirm the specific integration and workflow needed before choosing it.

Pricing

VTS Activate Multifamily is paid, with custom pricing. The product page invites prospective customers to book a demo rather than stating a price, so property teams should request a quote and establish which capabilities and integrations it covers. There are no published plan tiers or free-plan terms to compare.

Platforms

The platform is listed for Android, iOS and web. VTS offers the Activate Home resident app on Google Play, where some features may depend on the property’s location. The web dashboard and resident app serve different roles, connecting property managers, maintenance staff and concierges with residents.

Who it's for

Property managers, leasing teams and marketing teams are the intended staff users, alongside residents. It is a stronger fit for multifamily operators seeking a shared service layer for access, payments, maintenance, packages and amenities than for a team looking only for a leasing workflow. Residents benefit when their property enables the relevant app functions.

Pros and cons

Broad resident-service coverage: Access, work orders, package management, rent payments and amenity bookings sit within one platform, reducing the need to treat each as a separate resident-facing task.
Engagement tools are built in: Events, surveys and targeted communications give leasing and marketing teams ways to reach residents beyond operational notices.
Integration options: Named multifamily partners and API or SDK integrations may help connect the platform with existing property systems.
Custom pricing limits comparison: Without a public price or plan breakdown, operators need a sales conversation to assess cost and scope.
Some app features vary by location: Residents’ experience may differ by property, so teams should confirm which functions will be enabled at their buildings.

Alternatives

For renters who want a free resident app and whose property manager’s community is registered, LOFT offers a free resident plan on Android, iOS and web. Choose VTS instead when the priority is the broader combination of building operations, access, resident communications and amenities.

EliseAI LeasingAI is a paid Android, iOS and web alternative. Entrata is a paid alternative available on Android, iOS, web and API; choose between them based on the property workflow and platform fit you need.

RealPage Leasing is another paid option for Android, iOS and web. DashQ Leasing Center is paid, with screening charges based on consumption and tied to the community and application. Knock CRM is a paid alternative for web, iOS and API.

Anyone Home is a paid web-based alternative. Betterbot is a paid API and web option, with a Greystar-preferred Hybrid Solution at 184.00 USD per month plus a 150 USD setup fee.

Verdict

VTS Activate Multifamily is worth considering for multifamily operators who want residents and property teams to share one platform for building services, access and amenities. Its broad operational and engagement scope is the main reason to choose it; custom pricing and property-dependent app features are the reasons to confirm fit carefully or look elsewhere.
