Overview

The marketplace connects recognition criteria to gift-card delivery: administrators configure rules once, and eligible employees are rewarded automatically. Regional settings give organizations control over denominations, conversion rates, and total allocations, which can help them manage a program across different markets.

It sits within ThriveSparrow’s broader workplace platform, which includes engagement, Kudos, performance reviews, goals, and one-on-ones. The marketplace is a focused choice for gift-card recognition, not for organizations seeking a wider variety of reward types.

Key features

Global gift-card rewards

The catalog covers 900+ gift cards from 80+ countries. That breadth makes it a practical option for distributed organizations that want a common recognition program with region-specific choices. Gift cards are the reward type, so the catalog’s size does not make this a general-purpose incentives platform.

Automation and regional controls

Administrators set reward criteria once, allowing qualifying employees to receive rewards without repeated manual allocation. They can also manage denominations, conversion rates, and total allocations by region. These controls suit companies that need localized reward budgets, though they add configuration decisions for program administrators.

Wallet funding and integrations

Organizations can add funds through Wallet Recharge and set the exchange rate between Kudos points and real-world currency. If the wallet lacks enough balance, a reward stays pending until it is recharged, and administrators receive notifications. Automation therefore reduces routine work but does not remove the need to monitor funding.

The product names Slack and Google Workspace integrations. ThriveSparrow also describes connections with Workspace, HRMS, payroll, and other software to sync employee data, making it relevant to organizations seeking to connect recognition with employee systems.

Security and support

ThriveSparrow says stored data is encrypted with AWS AES-256 and data in transit with TLS 1.2. It reports annual independent grey-box penetration testing and quarterly internal vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. The company also says it has undergone ISO 27001 audits, aligns with GDPR, and holds Cyber Essentials certification. Support is available at support@thrivesparrow.com and +1 (800) 481-0410.

Pricing

ThriveSparrow’s pricing model is paid, with a 14-day trial and a free plan. The listed plans show free One-on-Ones and Feedback modules with every plan; the paid entry point is Kudos at 2.00 USD per month per employee, billed annually.

Plan	Price	What it includes
One-on-Ones	Free	Free module with every plan, including 1:1s, agendas, and shared notes.
Feedback	Free	Free module with every plan, offering continuous, anytime feedback.
Kudos	2.00 USD per month per employee, billed annually	Automated rewards using Reward Marketplace, Kudos analytics, custom rewards setup, and customizable Kudos cards.
Engage + Kudos (Full Bundle)	4.00 USD per month per employee, billed annually	Automated rewards using Reward Marketplace, Kudos analytics, custom rewards setup, and customizable Kudos cards.

Kudos is the lower-cost paid fit for organizations focused on recognition and automated rewards. The 4.00 USD per month per employee Full Bundle costs more and includes the same listed rewards and Kudos features, making it relevant to buyers who want the full bundle rather than only Kudos. Both paid prices are billed annually. No seat or reward quota is stated for these plans, so organizations should weigh the per-employee annual commitment alongside the need to keep wallet funds available.

Platforms

The marketplace is available on Android, iOS, and web. Its HRIS integrations and employee-data connections make it a candidate for organizations coordinating recognition across their workforce systems.

Who it's for

ThriveSparrow Rewards Marketplace is best for companies that want automated employee recognition with a large international gift-card catalog and region-level allocation controls. It is especially relevant to teams already using Kudos or connecting recognition to employee data. Organizations that want non-gift-card rewards, or cannot reliably fund a rewards wallet, should consider another approach.

Pros and cons

Pros: The 900+ gift cards across 80+ countries give globally distributed teams substantial catalog coverage.
Pros: One-time criteria setup and regional controls support repeatable rewards without forcing every region into the same denominations or allocations.
Pros: Wallet Recharge and exchange-rate settings connect Kudos points with real-world currency.
Cons: Rewards remain pending when wallet funds are insufficient, so automation depends on active funding management.
Cons: Gift cards are the stated reward type, limiting its fit for programs that need other incentives.
Cons: Paid plans are billed annually per employee, a commitment to account for when budgeting.

Alternatives

For broader employee-experience or feedback needs, compare Employee Experience Management Software and Employee Feedback Software. Buyers focused on recognition can browse Employee Rewards Software, while organizations prioritizing performance processes can review Performance Management Software.

Harmny HR Compliance has a free plan for up to 10 users with 5 GB storage and 2 MB file uploads; choose it when those HR-compliance limits matter more than automated gift-card recognition. Qualtrics offers a free individual survey plan for one user, three active surveys, and 500 total responses, so it is a better fit for small survey needs. QuestionPro has a free Essentials plan for one user, 200 responses per survey, and 30 question types; choose it when survey responses are the priority.

Perceptyx, Gallup Access, Korn Ferry Assess, Teleskope Affinities, and Workday Benefits are other options to consider.

Verdict

Choose ThriveSparrow Rewards Marketplace if your organization wants to automate employee recognition with region-specific gift cards and can keep the rewards wallet funded. Its international catalog and allocation controls are the strongest reasons to choose it; the wallet dependency and annual per-employee pricing are reasons to look elsewhere if funding predictability or non-gift-card rewards matter more.
