Overview

A shared skills taxonomy connects jobs, people, teams, projects and learning. This gives HR teams a common frame for skills-gap analysis, workforce planning, development plans and skills-based remuneration decisions, rather than leaving those decisions to rely on disconnected definitions.

Talentguide can identify and organise skills from uploaded documents, URLs, connected tools and a predefined job library. Profiles show people’s current skills and levels, with job requirements and courses mapped to skills. That makes the platform relevant when an organisation wants to relate its workforce’s capabilities to roles and development options, not just maintain a catalogue of skills.

Key features

AI suggests extracted skills, proficiency levels and development options, but people retain decision control. Profiles trace competencies to source evidence and flag low-confidence data. That combination gives decision-makers a way to distinguish uncertain inferences from better-supported skills; it does not make the suggestions decisions in their own right.

Talentguide describes integrations with HRIS, workforce planning tools and LMS systems, sending taxonomy data back to those tools. This can connect skills intelligence to existing systems, though the integration options are part of Plus rather than Essentials. The platform also supports learning recommendations, career pathways, skills inference and internal mobility.

Its privacy policy says personal data is processed and stored within the European Economic Area, with technical and organisational safeguards. The terms identify Microsoft Azure as the hosting partner, or another provider if Talentguide gives notice. For support, Essentials includes priority support; the terms commit Talentguide to commercially reasonable efforts to resolve or work around errors on request.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it includes
Sandbox	0.00 EUR per free	Up to 5 seats; evaluation sandbox, Talentguide library, skills-gap analysis, development plans, skills evaluation, WhatsApp companion and workforce planning.
Essentials	5.00 EUR per month, billed per seat/month	50 seats and up; everything in Sandbox, custom branding, educations and priority support.
Plus	7.50 EUR per month, billed per seat/month	50 seats and up; everything in Essentials, SSO, integrations and custom intelligence.

Sandbox provides a useful way to evaluate core planning and development features, but its five-seat cap makes it a narrow trial for larger organisations. Essentials is the lower-cost paid tier for organisations with at least 50 seats that need branding and priority support. Plus is the fit when SSO, integrations or custom intelligence are needed; Essentials gives up those capabilities.

Paid prices exclude VAT. Both paid plans offer a yearly option advertising SAVE 20%; the monthly prices are billed per seat/month. A free trial is available. The minimum of 50 seats on either paid plan is a substantial commitment for smaller teams, even at Essentials’ per-seat price.

Who it's for

Talentguide suits HR teams in organisations that need a shared skills view for planning, development and related talent decisions. It is less suited to a small team seeking a low-seat paid deployment: the free tier stops at five seats and both paid tiers start at 50.

Pros and cons

Pros

A taxonomy spanning jobs, people, teams, projects and learning gives multiple workforce decisions a common skills reference.
Evidence-linked profiles and low-confidence flags make uncertain skill inferences more visible, while keeping final decisions with people.
The free Sandbox includes skills-gap analysis and workforce planning, so organisations can assess core workflows before moving to a paid tier.
Plus adds SSO and integrations for organisations connecting skills data to HR, planning and learning systems.

Cons

Paid plans require at least 50 seats, excluding smaller organisations from paid deployment at their natural scale.
SSO, integrations and custom intelligence are reserved for Plus, so Essentials is limited for organisations that need connected-system workflows.
The Sandbox is capped at five seats, limiting how broadly larger teams can evaluate it for free.

Verdict

Choose Talentguide if your organisation wants to make workforce plans and development decisions against a shared, evidence-linked skills model, with people retaining authority over AI suggestions. Its central drawback is the 50-seat floor on every paid plan: smaller organisations should look elsewhere unless the five-seat Sandbox is enough.
