Overview

Survtapp is a business data-collection app for waivers, surveys, checklists and event leads, with mobile collection that works offline. It suits teams gathering information in the field or at shared-tablet stations; its broad form tools are useful, but response, storage and retention limits make plan choice important.

Responses, signatures and photos can queue on a device and sync when connectivity returns. The maker says its database and file storage are hosted in AWS Canada’s Montréal region, and that it aligns with PIPEDA and GDPR. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal information or use advertising or remarketing tools, and that account passwords are stored as a one-way hash.

Key features

Forms and evidence

The builder combines 22 question types with templates, conditional logic, signatures, photos and voice notes. That range can support both simple surveys and more structured checklists or waivers; conditional logic helps tailor follow-up questions to earlier answers. Photos and signatures also let teams capture evidence alongside responses.

Offline collection and kiosk mode

Offline collection includes responses, signatures and photos, which are queued locally and synced when a connection returns. This is a meaningful advantage for work at venues or sites with unreliable internet, though the available storage and response quota still depend on the plan. Kiosk mode locks an iPad or Android tablet to one form, making the app suitable for a fixed check-in or waiver station, not a multi-form shared-device workflow.

Workflows and data handling

Assignments and recurring schedules help organize collection. Survey responses can be exported as CSV, XLSX, JSON or PDF. Native integrations include SendGrid, Mailchimp, GoHighLevel, HubSpot and Constant Contact; webhooks use HMAC-SHA256 signatures, while REST API keys are available on paid plans. Teams that need API access or integrations will need Business or Business Plus rather than Free or Solo.

Pricing

Survtapp has a free plan and three paid tiers. The maker says there are no automatic overage fees and administrators receive email as they approach plan limits, which reduces the risk of surprise charges but still makes monitoring quotas important.

Plan	Price and limits	Best fit
Free	US$0, free forever; 3 users, 100 responses/month, 5 MB storage, 2 kiosk devices, 3 forms and 120-day data retention.	Small trials or very light collection. The low response and storage caps, plus short retention, make it a poor home for sustained or evidence-heavy work.
Solo	US$19/month or US$190/yr annual billing; 500 responses/month, 2 GB storage, 3 users, 3 kiosk devices, 5 forms and 12-month data retention. Includes email and knowledge-base support.	A small team needing more room than Free and a year of retention. It remains capped at three users and does not include the integrations and Open API available on higher tiers.
Business	US$59/month or US$590/yr annual billing; 5,000 responses/month, 10 GB storage, unlimited users, kiosk devices and forms, 3-year data retention, integrations and Open API, plus priority email support.	Growing teams that need shared access, integrations or longer retention without custom pricing.
Business Plus	US$129/month or US$1,290/yr annual billing; 15,000 responses/month, 25 GB storage, unlimited users, kiosk devices and forms, 7-year data retention, integrations and OpenAPI, priority email support and white-glove onboarding.	High-volume or longer-retention use where added capacity and onboarding justify the higher price.

Free and Solo are the economical choices, but their user, form, kiosk and retention ceilings constrain expansion. Business removes those seat and device limits and adds integrations; Business Plus mainly raises response, storage and retention capacity and adds onboarding.

Platforms

Survtapp supports Android, iOS, web and API. Kiosk mode is available on iPad and Android. Its stated mobile collection capabilities focus on iOS and Android.

Who it's for

Survtapp is a strong fit for businesses collecting forms, waivers or checklists in places where connectivity is uncertain, especially when they need signatures or photos and can benefit from kiosk stations. Business use is explicit: the privacy policy says accounts are for business use and registrants must be at least 18. It is less suitable for teams that need uncapped collection on a low-cost plan, or for those whose main need is not form-based data gathering.

Pros and cons

Pros: Offline capture includes signatures and photos, with automatic syncing when service returns—useful for field teams.
Pros: Twenty-two question types, conditional logic and evidence capture support varied forms without limiting collection to basic text answers.
Pros: Multiple export formats and a range of native integrations give teams options for using responses elsewhere.
Cons: The free tier allows just 100 responses/month, 5 MB storage and 120-day retention, limiting its usefulness beyond a small trial.
Cons: Solo remains limited to three users and five forms, and integrations and Open API start at Business.
Cons: Business Plus costs substantially more than Solo; its case rests on higher quotas, longer retention and onboarding.

Alternatives

Consider ComplyFlow if contractor company registration and worker-document handling are the priority; it offers free company registration and a contractor worker licence at AUD$35.00 per year.

myInspections is a better match for landlords focused on property inspections, with unlimited inspections and properties on its US$8/month Landlord plan, though that plan has one seat. Choose Safesite when safety reporting is the priority and its free plan's unlimited members matter more than retaining reports beyond the last 30 days.

SafetyCulture (now Mitti) may suit teams seeking inspection templates alongside training, tasks and issue reporting; its free plan has up to 10 seats and five active inspection templates. DuloProof is another option for individuals who need schedules and photos per item in a web-only tool, with a free plan that includes three active schedules and 90 days of retention.

Safety Reports, Tervene and WorkerSafe are alternatives to compare for safety or operational workflows.

Verdict

Choose Survtapp if your business needs flexible forms that can collect signatures and photos offline, or a tablet kiosk for a fixed collection point. Its free and Solo plans can cover light use, but response, storage, user and retention caps will matter as collection grows; teams needing integrations, API access or unlimited users should plan for Business. Look elsewhere if your primary need is a different workflow or if the required quotas make its paid tiers a poor fit.
