Overview

Redo is a post-purchase platform for ecommerce merchants, bringing returns, exchanges, warranties, tracking and customer communication into one suite. It is most compelling for Shopify stores that want a free returns portal or no-fee order editing, though its Shopify requirement narrows who can use it.

The range is useful for merchants looking to handle several post-checkout workflows together, but Redo is not a single flat-price package: some services are free, while others charge by send, session, order or recovered revenue. Redo says it serves more than 4,500 brands.

Key features

Returns and exchanges: The returns offering includes a free self-serve portal, real-time analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. Exchange workflows, automated refunds, inspection workflows and warehouse routing extend it beyond basic return intake. Label coverage can help reduce a merchant's return costs, but the free portal should not be confused with free use of every Redo service.
Order editing: Shopify shoppers can change variants, addresses, items or discount codes, or cancel orders. Redo says this feature has no monthly fee, per-order charge or feature gates, making it a particularly straightforward option for eligible merchants that want customers to resolve order changes themselves.
Other post-purchase tools: Separate offerings cover claims, shipping and fulfilment, warranties, order tracking, one-click upsells, checkout optimization, contextual marketing and revenue recovery. Their billing varies, so merchants should assess the relevant workflow and its usage-based charge rather than assume the suite is included with returns.
Integrations: Redo lists Shopify, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, alongside Gorgias, Klaviyo, Recharge, Tapcart, Vajro and carriers including FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and Australia Post. That mix can suit stores already using those services, though integration availability alone does not establish how a particular setup will work.
Security: Redo says it is SOC 2 compliant, audited annually by an independent third party and penetration-tested every year. It says data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256; payment details are handled by third-party integrations, with Redo storing no card data of its own.

Pricing

Redo is freemium, with a free plan and paid offerings shown from $0.40. The free services are meaningful entry points, but not all are unlimited flat-price subscriptions: several bill according to usage.

Email & SMS: 0.00 USD per month, billed per send. It includes add-to-cart email capability, an AI email and SMS builder, monthly AI personas and real-time analytics. It suits merchants trying these communication tools, but send charges still apply.
Claims: 0.00 USD per free, with a free claim portal, analytics, revenue-share or full-revenue options, and fraud detection. A no-cost starting point for claims workflows.
Shipping & Fulfilment: 0.00 USD per free, including order management software, analytics and cash back on orders shipped.
Warranties: 0.00 USD per free, with a claim portal, registration form, analytics and automated email capture.
Returns: 0.00 USD per free. The offer includes a free return portal, analytics, return-label cost coverage and return-specific AI agents. This is the clearest fit for merchants seeking a returns starting point.
Contextual: 0.00 USD per month, billed per session. It includes anonymous visitor identity resolution, abandonment flows for Klaviyo, Attentive and Postscript, server-side events and Meta CAPI enrichment; session-based billing matters as usage grows.
One click upsell: 0.06 USD per month, billed per order. Product recommendations, continuous A/B testing, analytics and adding to the current order target stores seeking order-level upsell tools.
Order tracking: 0.08 USD per month, billed per tracked order. It includes 23 transactional triggers, a dedicated tracking landing page, tracked return shipments and analytics.
Checkout optimization: 0.40 USD per month, billed per order. Audience segmentation, continuous A/B testing, analytics and shipping-offer optimization are aimed at stores willing to pay per order for checkout tools.
Recover: 10.00 USD per month, billed as a percentage of recovered revenue. It includes a four-step recovery process and live human conversations, with payment tied to results.

Order Editing is free without monthly fees, per-order charges or feature gates. A free trial is also offered. The free starting prices and usage-based terms make it important to match each service's billing unit to expected activity.

Platforms

Redo supports API, iOS and web. Its platform is cloud-based and may include downloadable apps, APIs and websites. Merchants must operate a Shopify-enabled online store and have a valid Shopify account, so businesses without that setup are not eligible under its service terms.

Who it's for

Redo suits Shopify merchants who want to combine returns or order editing with other post-purchase workflows, especially when the free portal, label coverage or no-fee editing addresses a clear need. Stores should weigh the per-send, per-session, per-order and recovered-revenue charges for paid services before adopting multiple parts of the suite. Merchants should also account for Redo's terms: it has no obligation to provide technical or other support, though it may choose to do so under applicable policies.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free returns portal combines analytics, return-label coverage and AI agents, with refund, inspection, exchange and warehouse workflows also supported.
Pro: Order Editing has no monthly fee, per-order charge or feature gates, which makes the cost proposition unusually clear for eligible Shopify stores.
Pro: Integrations span commerce platforms, customer-service and marketing tools, and major carriers.
Con: Shopify eligibility excludes merchants without a Shopify-enabled store and valid account.
Con: Several offerings use activity-based billing, so usage can affect costs even where a plan's monthly amount is shown as 0.00 USD.
Con: Redo has no support obligation under its merchant terms, which may be a concern for merchants that need assured technical assistance.

Alternatives

For a narrower focus on returns, compare the Returns Management Software category. Merchants evaluating payment disputes can also browse Chargeback Management Software. Consider Chargeflow for chargeback management, DisputeDash for dispute analytics and automation, or FIS Data Integrity Manager, Mastercard Decision Intelligence, Chargeback Gurus Platform, ACI Automated Dispute Manager, Chargebacks911 or ChargebackStop as other options.

Chargeflow offers a free plan billed free forever, with unified analytics across stores and processors; choose it when that analytics focus is a better fit than Redo's post-purchase suite. DisputeDash has a free analytics plan with no automation and unlimited processors, brands and team users, plus a $149.00 USD per month Starter plan for up to 100 disputes per month; it suits readers comparing dispute-focused analytics or automation. The other alternatives are paid offerings, with custom pricing for Mastercard Decision Intelligence, Chargeback Gurus Platform and Chargebacks911.

Verdict

Redo is a strong fit for Shopify merchants who want a free returns portal with label-cost coverage or genuinely no-fee order editing, and who may benefit from a broader set of post-purchase tools. Look elsewhere if you cannot meet the Shopify requirement, need a guaranteed support obligation, or want to avoid usage-based billing across additional services.
