Overview

Webshare combines proxy servers with static residential and rotating residential proxies. The company, founded in 2018 and headquartered in California, describes uses such as market research, price comparison, data aggregation, malware analysis, ecommerce scraping, SEO, and reputation management. This is a specialized service for data-related workflows, not a general-purpose app.

The service says its network contains more than 80 million IPs across 195 countries, with targeting by country, state, city, or ZIP code. That range can help when a workflow depends on a particular location, while the three network types give users options for different proxy requirements.

Key features

Webshare offers datacenter, static residential/ISP, and rotating residential networks, with both rotating and non-rotating IP options. Its endpoints support HTTP and SOCKS5. The pricing page gives proxy servers bandwidth from 250 GB to unlimited and 500 to 3,000 threads, subject to its Fair Usage Policy; the listed concurrent-session figure is 500. These limits make the plan details important for workloads with sustained traffic or many simultaneous tasks.

More than 50 step-by-step integration guides cover browsers, scrapers, bots, automation tools, and other software. The REST-style API uses JSON request and response bodies and token authentication, with Python and JavaScript examples. API access is included, making the service relevant to teams that need to connect proxy access to their own software or an established toolchain.

Webshare says proxy activity is encrypted and traffic is not routed through compromised servers or residential endpoints. It also says it is audited and certified by third-party standards and displays GDPR-ready and CCPA-ready badges. These statements may matter to organizations assessing security and privacy requirements, but they do not replace a buyer’s own compliance review.

The company advertises 24/7 expert support and dedicated account managers. It prohibits illegal or unethical use, may refuse inappropriate or suspicious use, and requires identity, use-case, and payment verification. That screening is a meaningful condition of use for any buyer, not merely an administrative footnote.

Pricing

Webshare has a free plan and monthly paid plans. The Free Proxy Server plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 10 proxies with 1 GB of bandwidth per month, billed free for an unlimited amount of time. It is a low-commitment way to assess a small workflow, but 1 GB is a tight ceiling for regular data collection.

The Proxy Server - 100 proxies plan costs 2.99 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes 100 proxies and 250 GB of bandwidth. It is the least expensive paid entry point and a substantial bandwidth step up from free. Larger proxy-server plans cost 7.47 USD per month for 250 proxies, 14.95 USD per month for 500, 29.90 USD per month for 1,000, 74.75 USD per month for 2,500, and 149.50 USD per month for 5,000. The stated bandwidth range is 250 GB to unlimited, but the plan details provided do not assign bandwidth amounts to each of these tiers; buyers should match their needs to the applicable plan before choosing.

For static residential access, the 20-proxy plan costs 6.00 USD per month and includes 250 GB of bandwidth; the 100-proxy plan costs 30.00 USD per month. For rotating residential access, the 1 GB plan costs 7.00 USD per month. These options let buyers select a network type rather than treating proxy count alone as the deciding factor, though the listed residential plans do not provide enough quota detail here to compare beyond their stated inclusions.

A larger Proxy Server plan costs 1076.40 USD per month, billed monthly, for 60,000 proxies at $0.0179 per proxy, with a stated 40% saving. It is aimed at substantially larger requirements than the entry plans. Across paid plans, the Fair Usage Policy still applies to the stated bandwidth range. No seat count or trial term is provided in the plan details, so the clearest decision points are proxy type, proxy count, and bandwidth.

Platforms

Webshare lists Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web, API, and extension platforms. Combined with its integration guides, this gives users several listed ways to access or connect the service, although the core offering remains proxy infrastructure rather than a standalone consumer app.

Who it's for

Webshare is a fit for businesses and developers collecting or analyzing publicly available data, especially when they need geographic targeting, a choice of datacenter and residential proxy networks, or API and software integrations. Its free tier suits small-scale evaluation; the paid tiers better match recurring work that needs more bandwidth or proxies. Buyers whose use may be considered suspicious, or who cannot provide the required identity, use-case, and payment verification, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: A broad stated network of 80M+ IPs across 195 countries, with targeting down to ZIP code, supports location-specific workflows.
Pros: Datacenter, static residential/ISP, and rotating residential options, plus HTTP and SOCKS5 endpoints, give buyers meaningful configuration choices.
Pros: The 2.99 USD per month entry paid plan includes 100 proxies and 250 GB bandwidth, while a free plan allows limited evaluation without a time cap.
Pros: More than 50 integration guides and a token-authenticated API with code examples support connections to common automation and data tools.
Cons: The free plan’s 1 GB monthly bandwidth limits its usefulness for sustained collection.
Cons: Fair Usage Policy restrictions and required identity, use-case, and payment verification add conditions that some buyers may not want.
Cons: Plan bandwidth beyond the 100-proxy entry tier is not fully itemized in the stated plan details, making quota comparison less direct.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of proxy products, browse Proxy Software or Residential Proxy Services.

Choose PacketStream if a paid residential-proxy service with a free trial is a better fit; its metered gateway has a $50 minimum purchase. Consider mitmproxy for a free, open-source interactive HTTPS proxy on Linux, macOS, self-hosted systems, web, or Windows. 3proxy is another free, open-source option for Linux, macOS, self-hosted systems, and Windows, while Privoxy is free software that can be used, copied, modified, or distributed without registration and carries no warranty. Choose Squid if self-hosted proxy software that is free to download, use, and modify is the priority; third-party commercial support may be available.

Bright Data Browser API may suit teams seeking a browser API with a free tier of 5K credits and 1 GB per month, or pay-as-you-go pricing at 8.00 USD per month, billed at $8 per GB with no monthly commitment. Decodo SERP Scraping API is more specific to SERP requests and offers a 49.00 USD per month plan billed monthly plus VAT, with several stated request quotas. SOAX offers a free Sandbox with two proxy packages, one team member, and 60-day credit rollover; its Builder plan is 200.00 USD per month plus VAT.

Verdict

Webshare is a strong candidate for data teams that need several proxy network types, granular location targeting, and integration support in one service. Its 2.99 USD per month entry plan makes the step from a 1 GB free tier comparatively accessible, but bandwidth limits, fair-use terms, and verification requirements are central to the decision. Choose it when those conditions suit your workflow; look elsewhere if you need an unconstrained free option or cannot meet its use and verification rules.
