Overview

PostTap is a cloud-based tool for creators who manage Amazon Associates links and content. It is best suited to creators sharing Amazon products across social platforms who want reusable shortlinks and destination-aware routing. Its appeal is focused link management; creators seeking detailed performance analysis will need Amazon Associates for more than click data.

Key features

Amazon link management and routing

Creators can create and customize Amazon product shortlinks, organize links, and discover products. Links open in the Amazon app when it is installed, route to the web destination otherwise, and send desktop visitors directly to Amazon. That covers common audience contexts with one link, a practical advantage for creators posting across social and desktop channels.

PostTap accepts Amazon links created properly with Amazon linking tools. Its shortlinks do not expire and can be reused across post types, which suits ongoing product recommendations as well as individual posts. The FAQ names Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Messenger, LinkedIn, and TikTok as platforms where links receive the greatest social traffic optimization.

Reporting and setup

The Reports tab shows click data, and PostTap supports conversion tracking. For more in-depth analytics, it directs creators to Amazon Associates. That makes PostTap a useful link layer, not a replacement for the reporting creators may need to assess broader affiliate performance. Link cloaking is also supported.

Because the service is cloud-based, getting started requires neither installation nor technical development. PostTap says it uses firewalls, SSL/TLS encryption, and physical access controls to safeguard information. Its privacy policy warns clients not to send credit card information, passwords, or other sensitive information through the platform. The help center has 17 featured FAQ articles.

Pricing

PostTap uses a freemium model. Its Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, with no fee to creators at this time. That gives creators a way to use PostTap without a subscription charge, but no further plan quotas or included limits are stated. Pricing for other plans is on request, so creators who need a paid option should ask PostTap for custom pricing before committing.

Platforms

PostTap is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Desktop visitors are routed directly to Amazon, while mobile visitors open the Amazon app when installed or go to the web destination otherwise.

Who it's for

PostTap is a sensible fit for creators whose affiliate activity centers on Amazon Associates and who want to create, organize, and share durable links across social channels. It is less suitable for creators who need a single platform to provide in-depth analytics, since PostTap's Reports tab is limited to clicks and points users to Amazon Associates for more.

Pros and cons

App-aware routing: Links open in Amazon's app when available, with web and desktop destinations handled as alternatives.
Reusable shortlinks: Links do not expire and can be used for different types of posts.
Focused reporting: Click data and conversion tracking support link monitoring, but deeper analytics require Amazon Associates.
Unclear paid-plan cost: The Free plan has no fee, while other pricing is on request, making paid costs harder to assess upfront.

Alternatives

Compare affiliate link management software if you want to weigh PostTap against a broader set of tools.

Lasso may fit creators who want a free link dashboard with one property, single-product displays, and Amazon images using their API, or who prefer its paid Pro plan.

LinkCentral offers a free version and a 49.99 USD per year plan for one site, so it may suit a creator choosing a site-based option with API and self-hosted platforms.

Pointerly is an alternative for readers who want a free plan with stated monthly DM and click allowances, 50 links, one team member, and a bio page.

Tracklume may be preferable if you want a free web plan with one workspace, one project, up to 25 links, a bio or gear-list page, and 30-day analytics.

Youfiliate is another option for creators who want a free plan with three smart links, unlimited clicks, geo-targeting, click analytics, deep linking, and health monitoring.

iris by Avelon is free for verified affiliates within Avelon and requires a verified Avelon affiliate account.

LegendLinks is a self-hosted alternative with a free Lite plan that includes unlimited links, 30-day analytics, basic redirects, and categories.

Verdict

Choose PostTap if you are an Amazon Associates creator who values app-aware routing and persistent shortlinks across social posts. Its main limitation is the narrow reporting: creators who need deeper performance insight should look elsewhere or rely on Amazon Associates alongside it.
