Overview

Tithely Giving is donation software built for churches and ministry teams that want to accept gifts across digital and in-person channels. It suits congregations looking for donor-managed recurring gifts and administrative reporting; its no-monthly-fee giving plan is appealing, but transaction charges remain part of the cost.

Donors can give through a website, mobile app, text, kiosk, or administrative giving, and can start, pause, or change recurring gifts through a donor portal. The experience is available in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Chinese. Tithely states that it meets PCI DSS Level 1 compliance standards.

Key features

Flexible donation channels: One-time gifts, recurring donations, text-to-give, embedded forms, and campaign pages let churches accommodate different giving habits. Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, and card options are supported, alongside regional bank methods including PAD, BACS, BECS, and SEPA Direct Debit.
Donor control: Donors can manage recurring gifts themselves, reducing the need to route routine changes through church staff.
Reporting and tax records: Administrators can view donation reporting in real time and generate tax statements. Automated receipts and tax receipts are also supported, making the product more than a payment collection layer.
Integrations: Tithely lists QuickBooks Online, Rock RMS, Salesforce, Planning Center Online, and Church Community Builder, useful for churches already using those systems.
Support: Customer support is available Monday through Friday, with phone support listed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time. That weekday schedule may be a constraint for teams needing weekend assistance.

Pricing

Free Giving costs 0.00 USD per free, with no monthly fees and unlimited donations; transaction fees apply. For churches focused on accepting gifts without a subscription, it keeps the fixed cost at zero, but the processing charges still matter: U.S. credit and debit transactions cost 2.9% plus $0.30 each, ACH costs 1% plus $0.30, and American Express costs 3.5% plus $0.30.

Giving + Church Management costs 72.00 USD per month, with no setup fees, cancellation anytime, and unlimited admin users. It combines giving with church management tools, fitting teams that need both rather than donation processing alone. Church Management is also 72.00 USD per month and includes giving plus church management tools, with a 30-day free trial.

Other options address specific needs: Custom Church Website costs 19.00 USD per month for a standalone website, and Custom Church App costs 89.00 USD per month for a standalone app. Both include a 30-day free trial. All Access costs 119.00 USD per month for all tools, also with a 30-day free trial. These are better fits when a church wants the named website, app, or broader tool set rather than giving alone. Enterprise has custom pricing for churches with 2,000+ attendees.

Platforms

Tithely Giving is available on Android, iOS, and the web, allowing donors to give from mobile devices or a browser.

Who it's for

This is a strong fit for churches and ministry teams that need several donation channels, recurring-gift controls, and reporting or tax statement tools in one service. Organizations primarily seeking a standalone website or app can choose the corresponding Tithely plan instead; teams that do not need church-specific giving workflows may find the product more specialized than necessary.

Alternatives

Church Giving Software and Nonprofit Online Donation Software are useful starting points for comparing donation-focused options. Churches evaluating broader administrative tools can browse Church Management Software and Donation Management; those choosing a web presence can compare Church Website Builders. For payment-processing comparisons, see Nonprofit Payment Processing Software.

Planning Center is worth considering for churches that want free options such as its Calendar plan for one room, People plan with unlimited database and reporting, or Services plan for five team members. Subsplash Church App offers a $0/mo Subsplash Giving plan with no setup costs, though card and ACH processing fees apply; consider it when that giving offer is the priority. Mainfolk may suit a church seeking a free website with unlimited edits and about 10 AI assists per month. ChurchDev, Congregate, SimpleUpdates, GrowMyWebsite, and Truepath are other options to compare.

Verdict

Choose Tithely Giving if your church needs broad giving channels, donor-managed recurring gifts, and administrator reporting, especially if a no-monthly-fee starting plan is important. Look elsewhere if transaction costs are your main concern or you need a lower-cost package that combines giving with church management.
