Overview

Okou Hashtag Generator turns a post or topic into a mix of broad, niche, branded and campaign hashtags tailored to a social platform. It suits creators and teams who want suggestions across several networks without connecting a social account. Its strongest distinction is the emphasis on platform-specific results and sourced trend claims; its main drawback is that generation limits and the credit cost per use are not clear.

Key features

Examples cover Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and X, giving users a way to shape tags around the destination rather than reuse one generic set. The tool requires no social login to generate hashtags, which keeps the task separate from account access and publishing.

Okou says trend claims should cite a current public source and date, and excludes unsupported popularity claims. That is a useful standard for users wary of stale or unsubstantiated trend advice, though it does not establish that every suggested tag will perform well.

Branded hashtag suggestions and checks for visible existing use can help identify tags already appearing publicly. Those checks are not trademark or legal clearance, so organizations should still review a proposed brand tag separately. Results can be copied; the page does not offer another export method.

The hashtag page also points to Instagram, YouTube, X and Notion as useful connectors in social-publishing workflows. Okou’s wider product is an AI teammate that chains connected tools and returns completed work artifacts, with a catalog of more than 3,000 connectors including Gmail, Slack, Notion, GitHub and Google Calendar. That broader platform may appeal to people already using Okou, but it is more than a hashtag generator needs.

Pricing

The Free plan is free and includes 1,000 credits valid for 30 days, two concurrent runs and all connectors. It is a time-limited allowance rather than an ongoing monthly free quota, so it is best for trying the workflow or occasional short-term use. The credit cost of a generation is not given, making it difficult to estimate how many hashtag sets the allowance covers.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month. The plan is billed at $0, with member packages priced at $20–$200 each; it includes three concurrent runs, seven shared agents, unlimited private agents and email support. This is the entry paid option for an individual or small operation that needs ongoing access, but the package pricing and expiring credits make actual monthly spend dependent on credit purchases.

Team costs 180.00 USD per month, billed as Plan $160 with member packages priced at $20–$200 each. It raises concurrency to 10, retains seven shared agents and unlimited private agents, and adds priority support. The extra capacity and support are relevant to teams coordinating more runs; they are hard to justify for someone using only the hashtag tool.

Enterprise has custom pricing, custom credit volume and concurrent runs, plus dedicated support and an SLA. Monthly member-package credits expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over; separately purchased credits never expire. Email support typically replies within one business day on weekdays, and bug reports can be filed on GitHub. The 30-day trial offers a window to assess the service, but its credit terms are not given.

Platforms

The generator is available on Android, iOS and the web. Its examples span Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and X, while the listed workflow connectors include Instagram, YouTube, X and Notion.

Who it's for

Okou is a reasonable fit for social marketers and creators who need platform-specific tag ideas, want branded suggestions, and value a no-login generation flow. It is less compelling for someone seeking a permanently free, predictable allowance or an export workflow beyond copying results. Teams should weigh the broader agent capacity and support against the added plan cost if hashtags are their only use case.

Pros and cons

Platform-specific mixes: Broad, niche, branded and campaign tags are tailored to the target network, rather than presented as one universal set.
No social account connection: Users can generate without granting access to a social profile.
Visible-use checks have a clear boundary: They can surface existing public use, but do not replace legal or trademark clearance.
Free credits expire quickly: The 1,000-credit allowance lasts 30 days and does not establish a lasting free tier.
Credit economics are hard to forecast: Package prices are given, but not the number of credits a generation consumes; monthly credits also expire.
Copy-only export: Users who need another output format will have to look elsewhere.

Alternatives

For a directory of other options, browse Hashtag Generator Tools. Choose Buffer instead if you want a freemium social-publishing service with a free plan for up to three channels. Hopper HQ Hashtag Generator offers a free Instagram generator alongside a paid subscription with one social set.

Inflact Hashtag Generator is another freemium option, with unlimited hashtag searches in its free plan. Pick Ahrefs if your priority is its free, limited Site Explorer and Site Audit access rather than a dedicated hashtag workflow. CaptureFlow Hashtag Generator offers free, no-signup hashtag sets grouped by reach.

Keyword Tool is the alternative to consider for keyword research across 16 platforms, with paid plans starting at 68.00 USD per month. ReelDrop Hashtag Generator is another free-plan option. For a free, web-based tool with daily per-IP rate limits and no account requirement, consider Hashta Generator.

Verdict

Choose Okou if you want platform-specific hashtag suggestions, sourced trend claims and branded-tag ideas in a tool that does not require social login. The best reason to look elsewhere is cost uncertainty: credits expire, generation usage is not predictable from the plan terms, and the free allowance lasts only 30 days. It is a better fit for users who can also use Okou’s broader connected-tool platform than for anyone shopping for a standalone, permanently free hashtag generator.
