Overview

Nifty brings tasks, milestones, discussions, documents, files, team chat and portfolios into a shared workspace. Recurring tasks and dependencies support repeatable work and linked deliverables; the breadth is useful when teams want project context close to the work, though it may be more workspace than a team needs for simple task lists.

Orbit AI can build a project from a description, draft documents, turn chats into tasks and save patterns as templates. These functions target the handoff from planning or discussion into structured work. Nifty says AI submissions are sent to OpenAI to generate responses and are not permitted to train OpenAI models, a relevant consideration for teams deciding what to put into AI prompts.

Moving work in is supported for Asana, Basecamp, ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Wrike and CSV spreadsheets. Native integrations include Harvest, Webex, Zoom, Slack, GitHub, Microsoft 365, Google Drive and Calendar, Miro and Typeform, while Zapier connects to over 2,000 apps. The native set covers several common collaboration and work tools; teams relying on other services may need Zapier as an additional connection layer.

Nifty says it is GDPR compliant and holds SOC 2 Trust Services Principles and ISO 27001:2022 certifications. It also says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with regular independent vulnerability and penetration testing.

Key features

Automation and visibility

Paid plans include workflow automations, time tracking and reporting, cross-project overviews and team workloads. Those capabilities make Nifty a stronger fit for teams coordinating several projects or monitoring capacity than for groups needing only a shared task board. The Free plan does not include these paid-plan workflow features.

Support

All plans include a self-serve help center. Pro and higher add priority support, and Unlimited includes a dedicated success manager, giving larger or more support-dependent teams a clearer escalation path.

Pricing

Nifty is freemium, with a 14-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed forever, and allows unlimited members, 100 MB of storage and two active projects. Unlimited membership makes it possible to invite a whole team, but the small storage allowance and project cap make Free better for a narrow pilot than an expanding portfolio.

Pro: 10.00 USD per month, billed monthly; includes 250 GB storage, 100 active projects and five guests and clients per paid seat. It suits teams that need substantial project capacity while keeping guest access bounded.
Business: 16.00 USD per month, billed monthly; includes unlimited storage, unlimited active projects and unlimited guests and clients. It fits teams whose project or external-collaborator needs exceed Pro’s caps.
Unlimited: 399.00 USD per month, billed monthly, with an annual option also shown; includes unlimited members, storage, active projects, guests and clients. It is aimed at organizations wanting a fixed monthly plan rather than per-member pricing.
Enterprise: custom pricing for enterprise-scale capacity, custom security requirements, and SLA and procurement support.

Pro and Business are also presented at 10.00 USD per month per member and 16.00 USD per month per member, respectively, with the same stated storage, project and guest limits. Per-member pricing means the bill grows with a team, so the flat Unlimited plan may be worth comparing for larger groups. The lower-cost Pro tier gives up unlimited projects, storage and guests, while Free has much tighter capacity still.

Platforms

Nifty is available on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web and as an extension, giving teams desktop, browser and mobile access.

Who it's for

Nifty suits teams that want planning, project communication, files and AI-assisted task creation in one workspace, especially those migrating from one of its supported project tools or connecting common work apps. It is less suitable for a small team that needs only a few active projects or a growing team unwilling to pay per member for expanded limits.

Pros and cons

Pro: Tasks, discussions, documents, files, chat and portfolios sit together, reducing the need to divide project context across separate workspaces.
Pro: Imports from six named project tools plus CSV can make transition into Nifty more practical for teams with existing work data.
Pro: Paid plans include time tracking, reporting, automations and workload views for teams managing work across projects.
Con: Free permits only two active projects and 100 MB of storage, a tight ceiling for ongoing team use.
Con: Pro and Business pricing is per member, so teams need to account for headcount as well as plan capacity.
Con: Some integrations may require Zapier rather than a native connection.

Alternatives

Work Management Software and Project Management Software are useful starting points for comparing tools by category.

EGroupware is worth considering if open-source software or Linux support matters more than Nifty’s listed platform mix.
Asana may suit one or two people managing personal projects who can work within its free Personal plan.
Basecamp is an option for a small team that can fit its free allowance of one project, 1 GB storage and five users.
ClickUp is worth comparing if unlimited tasks and unlimited free-plan members matter more than storage, since its free plan lists 60 MB.
Hive may fit teams interested in a free plan with up to 10 workspace members and 1,000 AI credits per month.
Wrike is another freemium project option, with a free plan listing unlimited users and 2 GB of account storage.
Teamwork.com is an alternative for teams whose work fits its free plan of five projects and five users.
Binfire is another freemium project-management alternative.

Verdict

Choose Nifty if your team wants project planning, conversations, files and AI-assisted workflows in one place, with a practical route to import work and connect common services. Its strongest case is breadth combined with paid capacity and cross-project tools; look elsewhere if the Free plan’s two-project cap is enough to rule it out or if per-member costs and guest limits do not fit your team.
