Overview

Quizbot turns uploaded materials or a topic into quizzes and tests with answer keys. It accepts PDFs, PowerPoints, Word documents, web links, videos, images, text and audio, then generates multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, true/false, open-ended, calculation, matching or mixed questions. That breadth is valuable when material is scattered across formats; the 10-question batch cap on the free plan means bigger sets take more than one pass.

Quizbot also offers mobile apps for Android and iOS alongside its web version, so it is not limited to a desktop workflow. Uploaded files are parsed into a temporary cache and sent to the AI model; Quizbot says they are removed after questions are successfully created. Its privacy policy describes SSL/TLS encryption in transit, restricted access and payment processing by PCI-compliant third parties. It also describes GDPR rights for EU, EEA and UK users; after account deletion, data is permanently deleted immediately, though encrypted backups may remain for up to 30 days.

Key features

The learning tools make Quizbot more than a question generator. Concept-level performance feedback, personalized study plans, AI explanations, spaced-repetition reviews and daily practice sessions support continued revision, which is useful for learners working toward retention rather than simply producing a test. In Notebook, users can upload course materials and chat with an AI assistant described as trained on those materials. The free allowance of one Notebook and up to two sources is modest for anyone juggling several courses.

Quizzes and answer keys can be exported to Word or PDF, as well as Google Classroom, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Kahoot and Aiken. This gives teachers and tutors several routes to reuse generated material in existing teaching workflows. Quizbot directs customers to its Help Center and provides info@quizbot.ai for contact.

Pricing

The free plan costs $0 forever and includes 50 questions per month, one Notebook with up to two sources, and 10 questions per batch. Quizbot advertises this as a free trial in its FAQ, but the plan is also presented as an ongoing free tier; it requires no credit card. The monthly quota suits occasional practice, but regular quiz creation will run into it quickly.

Plan	Price	Allowance
Free	$0 forever	50 questions/month; 1 Notebook, up to 2 sources; 10 questions per batch
Standard Plan	$7.50 per month	2,000 questions; 50 high-quality images
Pro Plan	$12.50 per month	Unlimited questions; 100 high-quality images
Educator Plan	$18.50 per month	Unlimited questions; 300 high-quality images
2000 Questions Package	Custom pricing	2,000 questions; valid for 6 months; 50 high-quality images
4000 Questions Package	Custom pricing	4,000 questions; valid for 6 months; 100 high-quality images
10000 Questions Package	$70.00 one-time payment	10,000 questions; valid for 6 months

Standard is the step up for users who can work within a 2,000-question allowance; Pro removes that question ceiling, while Educator keeps unlimited questions and raises the image allowance to 300. The packages suit buyers who prefer a fixed question pool over a monthly plan, but their six-month validity matters. No seat counts are stated for the plans, so the listed allowances do not establish how many people can share them.

Platforms

Quizbot runs on the web and has apps for Android and iOS. That mix covers browser-based use as well as the two major mobile platforms.

Who it's for

Students benefit most when they want generated questions plus structured review tools. Tutors and teachers can turn varied materials into quizzes and export them to common classroom and quiz platforms. Schools, companies and other organizations are also among the audiences Quizbot serves, although the published plan allowances do not spell out team seats. It is less compelling for someone who only needs a small number of occasional questions and has no use for the study features.

Pros and cons

Pro: Inputs span documents, links, video, images, text and audio, reducing the need to convert material before making a quiz.
Pro: Multiple question formats and answer keys support both self-study and prepared teaching materials.
Pro: Personalized practice features extend use beyond generating a single test.
Con: The free plan's 50 monthly questions and 10-question batch limit restrict sustained or larger-scale use.
Con: Free Notebook use is limited to one notebook and two sources, a constraint for learners organizing several subjects.
Con: The 2,000- and 4,000-question packages have custom pricing, making their cost harder to weigh against monthly plans.

Alternatives

PDFQuiz is a more focused option if the job is generating quizzes from documents: its free account allows three quizzes of 10 questions each, with up to 20 document pages per quiz and 16 file formats. QuizPilot is another freemium choice for users who want to create quizzes for free, with iOS and web support.

SimpleQuizMaker may suit light use better: its free plan allows five quiz generations a month, up to 10 questions per quiz, unlimited student submissions and 20 AI Tutor messages. Dende is worth considering for a lower-cost file-based workflow, with a free plan for one upload and limited questions and a Premium plan at 6.90 EUR per month for unlimited uploads and all question types.

PDFNoob is a free option for people seeking a broader PDF tool rather than a dedicated quiz and study suite. QuizFlight, IntelliAssess and QuizFlex AI are further alternatives to compare.

Verdict

Quizbot is a strong fit for students, tutors and educators who want one place to turn varied course materials into quizzes and continue with guided review. Its input range, question variety and export options are the main reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need generous free volume, a simple document-only quiz maker, or clear team-seat terms before committing.
