Overview

MyKiosk is MyTec’s touchscreen self-ordering system for food-service businesses, offered as a complete kiosk or as hardware only. It suits restaurants that need customers to order and pay at the kiosk while staff route orders into production. Its strongest case is flexible service and cash-register connectivity; buyers should weigh custom pricing and configuration choices against simpler, priced alternatives.

Customers can customize menu items, optionally enter loyalty details, pay, and receive a document showing an order number. Staff can send orders to production through a monitor or pager and notify customers when orders are ready for pickup or table delivery. This connects the customer-facing order with fulfillment, but depends on choosing a setup that fits the venue’s workflow.

Key features

MyKiosk supports counter, fast-food, self-service, table-service, and takeaway sales, and can manage table delivery, takeaway, and delivery orders. Multilingual ordering, loyalty programs, delivery choices, and automated suggestions for products, add-ons, or combinations allow menus and ordering flows to vary by store or chain. That range favors businesses with distinct service modes; smaller venues with a simple menu may not need the same degree of customization.

The complete kiosk can include a 22–27 inch touchscreen, fiscal or non-fiscal printer, QR-code reader, and bank POS; automatic cash handling is optional. The software can operate standalone or connect to MyTec cash systems and other restaurant cash-register software, giving buyers a route to fit kiosk orders into existing restaurant operations. Integrations and add-ons named by MyTec include Al Volo, Qodeup, Pienissimo, TheFork PAY, and Deliverect.

The complete version uses a cloud portal and database for management and reporting. An optional cloud-based Datastore service supports off-site backup and remote backup scheduling. MyTec also describes a sealed, hermetic kiosk enclosure, and an outdoor version designed to operate from -20°C to +40°C. These are relevant options for businesses considering outdoor placement or backup needs, but they should confirm the specific configuration they are buying.

Support includes ticket and phone channels, phone availability during service hours including evenings and holidays, urgent on-site interventions, and a 7/7 help desk. That support offering may matter to food-service operators who need assistance beyond standard weekday hours.

Pricing

MyKiosk is paid software with custom pricing. There are two configurations to discuss: a complete hardware-and-software kiosk, or hardware only. The complete kiosk’s stated components include the touchscreen, printer, QR-code reader, and bank POS, with automatic cash handling optional; request a quote that clarifies included equipment, any optional components, software scope, and support for the intended service modes. No free plan, trial, seat allowance, or usage cap is stated.

Platforms

MyKiosk is offered for web and Windows, with Windows specified for the kiosk platform. The complete configuration combines hardware and software; it is not described as a mobile kiosk option.

Who it's for

MyTec identifies restaurants, fast-food venues, pizzerias, bars, self-service venues, takeaway businesses, and restaurant chains as potential users. It is a stronger fit for operations that want self-ordering tied to order routing, payment, and cash-register software than for businesses seeking a narrowly scoped kiosk with a published fixed price.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple supported sales and delivery modes make it adaptable to different food-service workflows.
Pros: Standalone operation and compatibility with MyTec and other restaurant cash-register software give buyers flexibility in how the kiosk connects to checkout.
Pros: A complete hardware option includes core ordering and payment equipment, with optional automatic cash handling.
Cons: Custom pricing makes budget comparison dependent on a quote rather than a published plan.
Cons: Buyers must choose between hardware only and the complete kiosk, then clarify which components and options match their operation.

Alternatives

Compare restaurant self-ordering kiosk software if you want to survey the category before choosing a system.

OnePe Kiosk System is worth considering if a free entry point matters: its free plan allows 10 menu items, while the 199.00 INR per month Starter plan allows 100 menu items and 100 orders per day.

SelfX may suit buyers looking for a freemium option across Android, iOS, web, and Windows; its Smart Growth plan is 4999.00 INR per month for up to 3 POS terminals plus KDS.

TRAY Self-Service Kiosk is another paid kiosk option for Android and Windows.

Applova Self Ordering Kiosk is a paid Android option with custom quotes; hardware is quoted separately and price depends on locations, products, and hardware.

Bite is a paid web-based kiosk option.

Clover Kiosk is another paid option.

Lightspeed Restaurant may be a better fit for buyers seeking a broader POS platform across Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows; its Starter plan is 69.00 USD per month and includes customizable POS, menu manager, floor plans, Advanced Insights, offline mode, and 24/7 support.

DineEngine Kiosk Ordering is another paid option for web and iOS.

Verdict

MyKiosk is best for food-service operators that need customer self-ordering, payment, order routing, and restaurant cash-register connectivity across more than one service style. Its configurable hardware and ordering workflows are the main reasons to consider it; custom pricing and the need to settle the right configuration make it less compelling for buyers who want a simple, immediately comparable plan.
