Overview

PushPress is an operating platform for gyms and fitness studios that need to coordinate membership, payments and classes alongside member communications. It is best suited to independent operators who want those jobs under one roof, with optional marketing and workout-tracking plans; the right tier depends on whether lower processing rates justify a monthly fee.

Its scheduling tools cover recurring classes, capacity, waitlists and coach changes, while billing, online booking and digital waivers address routine member administration. PushPress says it serves more than 5,000 fitness studios, including CrossFit, martial arts, strength and boutique businesses.

Key features

Classes and member operations

Recurring templates, capacity management, waitlists and coach substitutions help gyms manage changing class schedules. Automation for no-shows and late cancellations can reduce manual follow-up. Member management, automated billing, online booking and digital waivers extend the platform beyond the calendar, making it relevant to studios that want a shared system for everyday administration.

Marketing, integrations and access

PushPress Grow combines lead-capture forms and landing pages with automated email and text, social integrations, WhatsApp messaging and member-engagement workflows. That breadth suits gyms seeking outreach and CRM tools, though Grow is a separate, higher-priced plan. Integrations include Stripe, Zapier, Slack, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Google Calendar, Facebook Ads, HybridAF and Kisi. HybridAF and Kisi support door access with permissions tied to membership status.

Apps and support

The Member App works on iOS, Android and the web. The web-based Control Panel supports desktop, laptop and mobile browsers. Free customers rely on self-serve resources and AI support, with human assistance taking 48 hours; Pro and Max add live human responses and optional video calls. Onboarding includes data import and white-glove migration support for businesses moving from another gym platform.

Pricing

PushPress uses a freemium model. Free has no monthly fee and allows unlimited leads, admins, members and staff, but charges 4.99% + .30 for credit cards and 2.89% + .30 for ACH. It fits a gym prioritizing no recurring software charge, but the higher rates may weigh against it as payment volume grows.

Pro costs 159.00 USD per month and keeps the same unlimited counts while lowering processing to 2.89% + .30 for credit cards and 0.79% + .30 for ACH. It is the core paid option for operators who expect the lower rates to offset the monthly fee. Max costs 229.00 USD per month, with unlimited counts, 2.75% + .30 credit-card processing and 0.79% + .30 ACH; its card rate is lower than Pro’s, making it the higher-cost choice for a business that places value on that reduction.

Other plans address narrower or expanded needs: Train costs 79.00 USD per month for workout tracking for up to 20 clients; Grow costs 329.00 USD per month for a full CRM with automated workflows, email/SMS and websites; and Branded App costs 8197.00 USD per month for a white-labeled mobile app. Full Stack costs 559.00 USD per month and combines all features in one package. These tiers make sense when their particular tools are needed; Train’s client cap makes it a focused option rather than a general gym-management tier.

Platforms

PushPress supports Android, iOS and web. The Member App spans all three, while the Control Panel is accessed through a web browser on desktop, laptop or mobile.

Who it's for

Independent gyms and studios—from CrossFit and martial arts facilities to strength gyms and boutique studios—can use PushPress to bring classes, billing and member administration together. Free is suited to businesses avoiding a monthly charge; Pro or Max is more compelling when lower processing rates matter. Studios that need lead nurturing can consider Grow, while those seeking only workout tracking for a limited client group may find Train sufficient. Operators who primarily need a standalone scheduling tool, or whose payment costs make the monthly tiers unattractive, should compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Broad day-to-day coverage: Scheduling, billing, member tools, online booking and waivers reduce the need to assemble separate systems for common gym tasks.
Useful schedule controls: Waitlists, capacity management and no-show or late-cancel automation address practical class-management needs.
Flexible entry point: Free has no monthly fee and unlimited leads, admins, members and staff, but its processing rates are higher than Pro and Max.
Marketing adds meaningful scope and cost: Grow includes CRM workflows, email/SMS and websites at 329.00 USD per month, a substantial increase over the core plans.
Train has a defined ceiling: Workout tracking is limited to 20 clients, so it may not suit a larger coaching roster.

Alternatives

Choose WellnessLiving if a paid platform with a free trial and a lower-priced entry point is a better fit: its Starter plan is 62.00 USD per month billed annually and includes one staff member, class and appointment booking, client and staff apps, and POS.

UrbanGym is another freemium option, with web support.

Consider Wodify if its month-to-month service terms suit your buying preference: Essentials is 199.00 USD per month, with a current promotion reducing it to $99/month per location, and includes unlimited clients and employees.

Easy Gym Software uses custom quote pricing based on gym size, member count and number of locations, for buyers who prefer a tailored quote.

Exercise.com Websites is a paid alternative available on web, iOS and Android.

FitGymSoftware is a paid option with a free trial and support for Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows.

Exerp is a paid web-based alternative.

GymMaster may suit gyms comparing member-count-based entry pricing: Foundation costs 89.00 USD per month for 100 current members, and its prices exclude tax; paying yearly earns a 10% subscription discount.

Verdict

PushPress is a strong fit for independent gyms that want class administration, member operations and payments in one platform, with optional marketing and tracking tiers as needs grow. Its main trade-off is cost structure: Free brings higher processing rates, while paid plans add monthly commitments. Compare those costs against payment volume and the features you will use; look elsewhere if neither the bundled operations nor the rate reductions justify the spend.
