Overview

Temp-Mail.org gives you disposable addresses for incoming mail without mixing it into your regular inbox. It is best suited to quick, non-sensitive sign-ups and developers automating email-flow tests. The short free retention and lack of outgoing mail make it a focused utility rather than a substitute for an everyday email account.

Key features

You can use an address without registering, then copy it, refresh its inbox, change it, or delete it. That keeps setup light for one-off verification, but the receive-only design means you cannot reply or use the address for outgoing correspondence.

Free users can receive messages with attachments and download them as EML files. Messages last up to 1–2 hours on the free plan, which works for prompt verification but gives little time to return to a message later. Premium extends retention to one month and adds up to 10 simultaneous mailboxes, premium domains, private addresses, faster dedicated support, and no ads.

The API supports automated email workflow testing with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Puppeteer, with documentation linked through RapidAPI. That can make Temp-Mail.org useful in development as well as casual sign-ups. Its delivery limits constrain testing, however: government services and major financial institutions cannot send messages, and some role addresses such as admin@ and postmaster@ cannot be read.

The privacy policy says IP addresses are not stored and temporary email data is permanently deleted when its lifetime expires. But the terms warn that messages in the public system may be viewable by any user and advise against using it for confidential information or important accounts. Those caveats should guide what you receive, regardless of plan. The contact page offers a feedback form, but deleted addresses or messages cannot be recovered.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes free domains, receive-only mail, and storage for up to 1–2 hours. It is the practical starting point for disposable, non-sensitive messages, but not for keeping mail or managing several inboxes.

Premium monthly costs 10.00 USD per month, billed monthly and auto-renewing. It includes up to 10 mailboxes, premium domains, one-month retention, and an ad-free experience, but is limited to desktop web. Premium yearly costs 60.00 USD per year, billed yearly and auto-renewing, with a 50% discount; it includes the same mailbox, domain, retention, and ad-free features, also on desktop web only. The longer plan suits someone who expects sustained use, while monthly billing avoids committing for a year. Neither plan changes the receive-only nature of the service or the warning against confidential and important-account use.

Platforms

Temp-Mail.org supports web, Android, iOS, browser extension, and API access. The Android app can generate addresses, receive emails and attachments, and send push notifications for new mail. Premium plans are desktop web only, so mobile and extension users should not assume the paid mailbox and retention benefits apply there.

Who it's for

Choose Temp-Mail.org for quick sign-ups, disposable incoming messages, or automated email-flow testing when a short-lived inbox is enough. It is a poor fit for confidential mail, important accounts, replies, or workflows that depend on messages from government services, major financial institutions, or restricted role addresses.

Pros and cons

Pros: No registration is required, and inbox controls let you change or delete an address when needed.
Pros: Attachment receipt and EML downloads are included on the free plan, while the API supports several named browser-testing tools.
Cons: Free mail lasts only up to 1–2 hours, limiting its usefulness for messages you may need to retrieve later.
Cons: Public-system messages may be visible to other users, and the terms caution against confidential or important-account use.
Cons: It cannot send or reply to email, and Premium is desktop-web-only.

Choose 10 Minute Mail for a simpler, shorter-lived address: its free address expires after 10 minutes, with a timer reset for another 10 minutes.

Verdict

Temp-Mail.org is a sensible pick for people who need a disposable address for brief, non-sensitive incoming mail, and for developers testing email workflows within its delivery limits. Its no-registration access, attachment handling, and API are useful strengths. Look elsewhere for private or important messages, longer free retention, or any need to send and reply.
