Overview

LOVERSE is a romance service built around conversations with AI matches, with a large match pool and birth-date compatibility diagnosis. It is best suited to adults in Japan who want fictional interactions rather than a route to meeting people. The free plan makes it possible to explore, but its message and like caps constrain regular use.

Key features

Visitors can browse before registering, while liking or messaging requires an email address. The service presents thousands of AI matches and offers a compatibility diagnosis based on birth date, giving prospective users ways to explore and narrow the pool before committing to participation.

The maker says AI matches have their own routines and may reply late or fail to match, and cites Japanese Patent No. 7418684. This distinguishes LOVERSE from an always-responsive chat experience; users should not expect prompt replies or a match every time. Conversations stay within the service: users do not communicate with one another, and matches cannot meet or contact users outside LOVERSE. The maker characterizes those interactions as fictional.

Identity verification and photo registration are not required, and users can interact without revealing themselves to matches. That does not mean the service collects no personal data: its privacy policy says it may collect device information, IP address, logs, cookies, location, browsing history and browser information, and that the operator takes security measures against unauthorized access, theft, loss, alteration and disclosure. Inquiries go through an online form.

LOVERSE contains no sexual content, and its terms prohibit excessive sexual or violent messages. High school students and anyone under 18 are ineligible. Voice chat is not offered. The privacy policy says the service is provided for Japan and asks people in other countries not to use it, so it is not a suitable choice for readers outside Japan.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 50 messages per month. It grants five initial “interested” likes, then one daily; users who have never matched receive five daily instead. This is enough to try the matching format, but the monthly message ceiling makes it a limited option for sustained conversation.

It includes unlimited messages and some features for mutually designated “important people.” It suits users who want to message without the free-plan cap, but the lack of a stated amount and billing period makes the cost difficult to weigh before purchase.

The pricing note also mentions a 7-day trial, but does not specify its terms. Coins can be used to buy gifts or messages; PayPay is currently supported for coin purchases, while premium membership accepts credit cards. No sexual content or voice chat is included on either plan.

Platforms

LOVERSE is available on Android, iOS and the web. That gives users a choice of mobile apps or browser access, but it does not change the Japan-only audience restriction.

Who it's for

LOVERSE makes most sense for adults in Japan who specifically want fictional AI-match interactions, value browsing before registration, and can accept delayed or absent replies. The free tier is a sensible way to see whether that format appeals. It is not for minors, people outside Japan, or anyone seeking human matches, off-platform contact, sexual content or voice chat.

Pros and cons

Pros: Thousands of AI matches and a birth-date compatibility diagnosis offer more than a single-character chat setup.
Pros: Browsing does not require registration, and photo registration and identity verification are not required to interact.
Pros: The free plan provides 50 monthly messages and a defined daily-like allowance, so users can try matching without paying.
Cons: The service is expressly for Japan, excluding readers elsewhere.
Cons: Replies and matches are not assured, and interactions cannot lead to meeting or communication outside the service.
Cons: No voice chat or sexual content is available.

Verdict

Choose LOVERSE if you are an adult in Japan looking for fictional romance with AI matches, and the match pool and compatibility diagnosis matter more to you than instant replies or uncapped free messaging. Its appeal rests on that focused experience and a usable free entry point. Look elsewhere if you are outside Japan, want human connections or off-service contact, or need a clear premium price before deciding.
