Overview

The suite combines renter-facing tools—touring, applications, screening, signing, and payments—with prospect communications and lead management for property teams. That can reduce the number of disconnected steps in a leasing process. RealPage serves conventional, affordable, student, senior, and vacation housing, though a smaller operator seeking only a narrow leasing function may not need this breadth.

Key features

Applications and lease workflow

Online Leasing supports custom-branded applications built with certified templates and documents, then extends into screening, renewals, eSignatures, electronic payments, and document storage. This is a strong fit for teams aiming to move applicants through a mostly digital process. Secure cloud or RealPage Document Management storage supports uploading, sharing, and managing leasing documents.

Prospect engagement and tours

The AI Leasing Agent handles inquiries by chat, text, voice, and email, and can schedule tours and send follow-ups. Touring Solutions offer prospects options across multiple channels, including a property website. The RealPage Contact Center also handles calls, messages, and chats, using Augmented Intelligence to track communications and personalize follow-up. These capabilities suit teams that need to keep up with inquiries across channels; operators should decide whether they want both automated and contact-center support in their workflow.

Screening, identity, and payments

AI Screening uses screening algorithms and rental payment history to help property teams assess applicants. Prospect ID Document Validation checks government-issued ID by mobile phone and returns a pass-or-fail result in seconds, but it cannot validate Illinois IDs. Branded online and mobile payment portals accept ACH, credit cards, and debit cards. That combination covers useful renter tasks, although the Illinois limitation matters for properties serving applicants with Illinois identification.

Systems, governance, and support

Online Leasing says it works with all major property management systems and integrates with community websites, multiple CRM systems, and the RealPage Contact Center. The AI Leasing Agent page names Yardi, ResMan, RealPage, Entrata, and MRI as PMS integration partners. Its stated design alignment with Fair Housing, SOC 2, privacy, and compliance, along with audit logs and built-in human review, gives teams governance features to consider when evaluating automated prospect interactions.

The customer portal provides 24/7 access to support, live chat, case management, and a knowledge base. Phone specialists are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time; teams needing phone help outside those hours will need another support channel.

Pricing

RealPage Leasing is paid, with custom pricing. The leasing page directs prospective customers to contact RealPage or request a demo rather than presenting a price. Buyers should request pricing for the workflow and integrations they need before comparing total costs with narrower tools.

Platforms

RealPage Leasing is available on Android, iOS, and web. Mobile payment portals and phone-based ID checks support renter-facing mobile tasks, while the leasing workflow also runs on the web.

Who it's for

This is a stronger fit for owners and managers serving multiple rental property types who want to connect touring, applications, communications, screening, payment, and lease documentation. Teams already using multiple property systems should confirm the fit of their specific setup. A smaller operation looking for a fixed-price, limited-purpose tool may prefer a simpler alternative.

Pros and cons

Pros: The workflow spans tours, applications, renewals, signatures, payments, and document storage, reducing gaps between key renter steps.
Pros: Automated engagement covers chat, text, voice, and email, with tour scheduling and follow-up.
Pros: Branded payment portals accept ACH, credit, and debit cards, and support access includes a 24/7 portal.
Cons: Custom pricing makes it harder to compare costs without contacting sales.
Cons: ID validation does not work for Illinois IDs.
Cons: Phone support is limited to weekday hours, even though portal support remains accessible around the clock.

Alternatives

LOFT is worth considering for renters and residents who want its free LOFT for residents plan; it costs 0.00 USD per free, though sign-up requires their property manager’s community to be registered with LOFT. EliseAI LeasingAI is another paid, Android, iOS, and web option for buyers comparing leasing platforms.

Entrata is a paid alternative available on Android, iOS, web, and API, with pricing handled through a demo request. VTS Activate Multifamily is another paid option across Android, iOS, and web.

DashQ Leasing Center may suit teams evaluating consumption-based screening charges tied to the community and application; pricing requires a demo. Knock CRM is a paid option on API, iOS, and web for those comparing CRM alternatives.

Anyone Home is a paid, web-based alternative with pricing available by demo request. Betterbot may suit buyers considering its Greystar preferred pricing: Hybrid Solution is 184.00 USD per month with a $150 setup fee.

Verdict

Choose RealPage Leasing if your property operation needs a broad digital leasing path supported by prospect engagement, screening, payment, and document tools. Its main advantage is the reach of that connected workflow; its main drawbacks are custom pricing and the Illinois ID validation exclusion. Smaller teams or buyers prioritizing predictable costs should compare narrower alternatives before committing.
