Overview

Knit is an integration platform for SaaS teams, workflow owners and AI engineers who need to connect business apps. Its main strength is offering a Unified API, workflow generation and managed-auth MCP servers in one product family; the trade-off is that limits and pricing differ substantially by product.

The Unified API targets B2B SaaS teams with normalized data models, read/write access and two-way syncs. The Integrations Agent is aimed at non-technical teams: it converts plain-English workflow descriptions into custom integration code that can be deployed and monitored. MCP servers are for agent engineering teams that want managed-auth access to more than 190 apps without running customer-managed infrastructure.

The directory spans 194 apps across HRIS, ATS, CRM, accounting, email and ticketing, including Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Workday, BambooHR, Asana, Gmail and Jira. Knit says it does not store end-user data on its servers, encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3, and complies with SOC 2, GDPR and ISO 27001. Data processing residency is supported in the US, EU and India.

Key features

Unified API

Normalized models and read/write access can spare product teams from treating every connected app as a separate interface. Two-way syncs suit products that need changes to travel in both directions. Capacity is an important constraint: Start Up allows 100K API calls per month and 24-hour sync frequency, while Scale Up raises the quota to 1M calls and offers configurable sync frequency.

Integrations Agent

Turning written workflow descriptions into custom code offers non-technical teams a route to deployed, monitored workflows. Knit also supports code-based workflow building, custom connectors and webhook triggers. The trade-off is a metered plan structure: workflow, account, AI-credit and trigger-frequency limits determine whether a tier can support a given workload.

MCP servers and app coverage

Managed authentication across more than 190 apps may reduce infrastructure work for agent teams. The free Launchpad plan is capped at five servers and 100 API calls per month; the Individual plan provides unlimited servers but 5K API calls monthly. Those ceilings make the free option useful for a small start, but a narrow fit for sustained API-heavy use.

Pricing

Knit is freemium, with a 30-day trial and paid plans from $29/mo. The products have separate plan structures, so buyers should compare the relevant product’s quota and support rather than treating the starting price as a single all-access tier.

Integrations Agent Free: 0.00 USD per free; 500 usage credits, 200 AI credits, three active workflows, three connected accounts, seven-day run history, 15-minute trigger frequency and community support. It is a practical way to try a small workflow set, but the account and workflow caps limit broader deployment.
Integrations Agent Starter: 29.00 USD per month; 800 usage credits, 400 AI credits, 10 active workflows, five connected accounts, two premium apps, 30-day run history, five-minute trigger frequency and email support. This adds more room and faster triggers, though the workflow and account caps remain.
Integrations Agent Professional: 99.00 USD per month; 2,200 usage credits, unlimited workflows and connected accounts, and 90-day run history. It fits teams that have outgrown Starter’s workflow and account limits; the published terms do not include its trigger frequency or support option.
Unified API Start Up: 499.00 USD per month; 100K API calls monthly, unlimited data usage, three test accounts and three-day log retention. Its 24-hour sync frequency makes it a poor match for products that need frequent updates.
Unified API Scale Up: custom pricing; 1M API calls monthly, unlimited data usage, three test accounts and 30-day log retention, with configurable sync frequency. It is the clearer fit for higher-volume products or teams needing to tune syncs.
Unified API Enterprise: custom pricing; contract-based API calls, unlimited data usage and test accounts, and 90-day log retention. The contract-based quota suits buyers seeking an enterprise arrangement, but requires a price conversation.
MCP Launchpad: 0.00 USD per free; up to five servers, 100 API calls monthly, remote MCP servers and the ability to create an MCP server. It offers a low-cost entry point with a modest call allowance.
MCP Individual: 29.00 USD per month; 5K API calls monthly, unlimited MCP servers and chat support. It removes the server cap, not the call ceiling.

Support options vary by plan and include community, email, priority, dedicated, Slack and on-call support. Paid prices are monthly; no renewal terms are stated.

Platforms

Knit supports Android, iOS, web and API. That mix covers mobile and browser access alongside programmatic integration use.

Who it's for

Knit is strongest for B2B SaaS teams that need a normalized integration layer, non-technical teams that want to describe workflows rather than build them from scratch, and AI engineering teams that need managed-auth app access. It is less compelling for buyers who need a single predictable plan across all three offerings or whose API volumes exceed the published allowances without a custom contract.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unified API read/write access and two-way syncs give SaaS teams a common integration approach.
Pros: 194 listed connectors and MCP access to more than 190 apps cover a broad set of business software categories.
Pros: The Integrations Agent can turn plain-English descriptions into deployable, monitored custom code, while custom connectors and webhooks provide additional workflow options.
Pros: Stated encryption, compliance and regional processing options address security and residency needs.
Cons: Product-specific tiers and quotas complicate plan comparisons; Integrations Agent credits and workflow caps differ from Unified API call limits and MCP server limits.
Cons: Unified API Start Up combines a 100K monthly call allowance with 24-hour syncs, a meaningful constraint for time-sensitive synchronization.
Cons: MCP Individual still caps API calls at 5K per month, despite unlimited servers.

Alternatives

For other approaches, compare API Integration Platforms and Integration Platform as a Service Software. Choose Windmill if its free and open-source plan’s 3 workspaces and 50 users better suit your needs. Celigo is worth considering if a free plan capped at two endpoints, one flow and one production environment fits your initial scope. Pick Nango when a free tier with 10 connections, 10 compute hours monthly and 10GB data transfer is the closer match. Workato Agent Studio may suit teams looking for a free plan with 50,000 one-time credits and AI and agentic capabilities. Apache Camel is another option. Consider Google Cloud Application Integration if its free tier of up to 400 integration executions and 20 GiB processed per month matches your scale. n8n is an alternative for self-hosted use. Sheety may suit simpler web-based request needs, with its free plan capped at 200 requests monthly and 100 rows per sheet.

Verdict

Choose Knit if you need one of its three focused integration paths: normalized API access and syncs for a SaaS product, generated workflows for a non-technical team, or managed-auth MCP servers for AI agents. The breadth of app coverage and distinct options are its strongest reasons to buy. Look elsewhere if you need generous call allowances at a low fixed price, or if a single plan covering all integration needs is essential.
