Overview

UXPin combines interactive prototyping with coded component libraries such as MUI, Tailwind UI, and Ant Design. Conditional logic, variables, and expressions are included in Core, while prototypes can also use interactions, states, conditional flows, and dynamic content. This makes it a stronger fit for illustrating how an interface responds than for teams seeking only a static layout tool.

Sharing supports unlimited viewers and commenters, public and team comments, and real-time collaboration. Design-system support, user testing, and developer handoff add coverage across design review and implementation. Integrations include Slack, FullStory, Jira, Storybook, Git, a Figma plugin, and Sketch import.

Key features

Interactive prototypes: Model interface states and behavior with interactions, logic, variables, conditional flows, and dynamic content. That breadth is useful when a design review needs to communicate more than appearance.
Coded libraries: Built-in options include MUI, Tailwind UI, and Ant Design, making UXPin relevant to teams working with established component systems.
Review and collaboration: Unlimited viewers and commenters, public and team comments, and real-time collaboration support broad feedback without limiting the audience to editing seats.
Workflow connections: Integrations such as Jira, Storybook, Git, Slack, Figma plugin, and Sketch import connect UXPin to design and development workflows.
Version history: Core retains seven days of history; Growth extends that to 30 days. Enterprise offers unlimited history, a more suitable allowance for organizations with longer review cycles.

Pricing

UXPin has a limited free plan and a 14-day trial. The free plan has two prototypes and 50 AI credits, so it is best for an initial evaluation rather than sustained work on several projects. Students in degree or diploma programs can use UXPin free after verification.

Core: $49.00 USD per month, billed monthly, per seat. For individuals and small teams, it includes unlimited prototypes, 200 AI credits per month, seven-day version history, and conditional logic, variables, and expressions. The per-seat monthly cost makes it a relatively substantial commitment for a solo user, while the prototype allowance removes the free plan’s project ceiling.
Core annual: $29.00 USD per month, billed yearly, saving 40% against monthly billing. This suits users ready to commit for the year in exchange for the lower monthly rate.
Growth: $69.00 USD per month, billed monthly, per seat. Intended for growing product teams, it includes unlimited prototypes, 500 AI credits per month, 30-day history, roles and permissions, SSO, and 2FA. The added controls and history are more relevant to teams than to individuals.
Growth annual: $40.00 USD per month, billed yearly, saving 40% against monthly billing.
Enterprise: Custom pricing for large organizations, with unlimited prototypes, custom AI credits, unlimited version history, and a security review.

Extra AI credits start at 200 for $13/month. The annual prices are monthly amounts billed yearly, so the lower monthly figure comes with an annual commitment. Support ranges from a knowledge base to dedicated Slack and an account manager.

Platforms

UXPin supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. The apps include UXPin for Mac and Windows, plus Mirror for iOS and Android. Cloud, desktop, and mobile deployment give teams options across their design and review devices.

Who it's for

UXPin is a good fit for solo designers and product teams that need behavior-rich prototypes, coded libraries, feedback sharing, or a handoff workflow. Growth is more compelling for teams that need role controls, SSO, 2FA, and longer version history. Large organizations can consider Enterprise for custom AI allowances and unlimited history.

It is a weaker fit for someone who only needs a small number of basic prototypes: the free plan is capped at two, and paid tiers are priced per seat. A team that needs more AI capacity should also account for the cost of extra credits.

Pros and cons

Pro: Prototypes can represent interaction and conditional behavior, which is more useful for reviewing product flows than a screen-only mockup.
Pro: Unlimited viewers and commenters make it practical to collect feedback without requiring every reviewer to have a paid seat.
Pro: Coded libraries and integrations across design and development tools support teams that need to connect interface design with implementation.
Con: The free plan’s two prototypes and 50 AI credits constrain ongoing use.
Con: Monthly Core and Growth pricing is per seat, so costs scale with team size; annual billing lowers the monthly rate but requires yearly billing.
Con: Version history is limited to seven days on Core and 30 days on Growth, so longer retention requires Enterprise.

Alternatives

For a different approach, compare Paper, Coherent, Figma Make, Relume, UX Pilot, Visily, EaseUI, and Marmo UI. Paper offers a free plan with unlimited viewers and editors, while Coherent is an open-source option with unlimited projects and validators. Figma Make has a free tier with daily and monthly AI credits, and Visily’s free Starter plan includes 300 AI credits per month. Relume’s free plan is centered on a single project and page with read-only sharing. UX Pilot offers a free first design; EaseUI’s free plan provides one generation session; Marmo UI’s free plan includes unlimited projects. Pick among them when their particular free allowance or workflow is a better match than UXPin’s interactive prototyping and team review.

Verdict

Choose UXPin if your design work depends on interactive prototypes, coded libraries, and collaborative review in one workflow. Its clearest drawback is the combination of a tightly capped free plan and per-seat paid pricing; look elsewhere if you need only lightweight prototyping or want to avoid a recurring team cost.
