Overview

Jatheon Cloud brings unified communications archives, compliance support and eDiscovery into one service. It captures email, social media, text messages, collaboration tools and websites, then pairs that archive with search, legal hold, review and export tools. That breadth is useful when records span multiple systems, but may be more than an organization needs if it only wants email archiving.

The service is cloud-deployed on AWS, with hosting options in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Jatheon says it offers automated migration from legacy and competitor systems with zero downtime, plus 24/7 engineering support and proactive monitoring. Those provisions address operational concerns during adoption, though the migration claim does not establish how a particular archive or integration will be handled.

Key features

Capture, search and eDiscovery

Email archiving supports Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, HCL Notes, GroupWise and Bloomberg. Collaboration sources include Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Chat, Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint. Search includes Boolean, wildcard, proximity and fuzzy operators, giving investigators several ways to locate records when they do not have an exact term. Legal hold, cases, redaction, audit trails, OCR and exports to PST, EML, PDF, CSV and HTML support review through production. These are substantial tools for legal and compliance teams; organizations with simpler retention needs may not use much of this capability.

AI and compliance

Built-in AI supports classification, transcription, review workflows, sentiment analysis, search and risk detection. This can help teams organize and examine large communication archives, although the feature set alone does not establish the accuracy or suitability of any AI result for a specific decision. Jatheon Cloud supports requirements associated with HIPAA, GDPR, FOIA, FERPA, SEC 17a-4, FINRA, SOX, GLBA and CCPA. That range makes it relevant to varied regulated environments, but organizations still need to determine whether the platform meets their own compliance obligations.

Security and administration

Jatheon maintains SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR certifications. The service uses encryption in transit and at rest, single sign-on, two-factor authentication, geofencing and multi-zone redundancy. Together with AWS hosting and regional residency options, these controls give security-conscious organizations concrete deployment choices. Jatheon was founded in 2004 and focuses on compliant archiving.

Pricing

Jatheon Cloud is paid, with custom pricing. Its plan is billed per user per month, billed annually, and includes unlimited storage with no egress fees at exit. Unlimited storage and exit without egress fees are meaningful advantages for organizations retaining large archives or anticipating a future move. The annual billing term and per-user basis matter for budgeting; no published seat minimum, trial length or price is available to compare against an organization’s user count.

This plan fits teams that need the full archiving and eDiscovery service and can assess a custom quote. There are no lower-cost tiers described, so a smaller organization seeking a limited archive or a free starting option should compare alternatives before committing.

Platforms

Jatheon Cloud supports web, Android, iOS and API access. That mix suits organizations that need browser access, mobile platforms or programmatic integration. Deployment is cloud-based rather than self-hosted.

Who it's for

Jatheon Cloud is best suited to organizations with compliance-driven retention across several communication channels, especially teams that need legal hold, advanced search, case workflows and varied export formats. Its broad integrations and regional hosting options strengthen that fit. It is less compelling for buyers seeking a transparent price, a free plan, or only a narrow email archive.

Pros and cons

Pros: Captures email, social, messaging, collaboration content and websites, reducing the need to treat each channel as a separate archive.
Pros: Legal hold, case management, redaction, OCR, audit trails and flexible search operators support complex investigations.
Pros: Unlimited storage and no egress fees at exit address two material concerns for long-term retention and portability.
Pros: Regional AWS hosting options, certifications and layered security controls give regulated organizations specific infrastructure and access safeguards.
Cons: Custom pricing and annual per-user billing make it harder to judge affordability before requesting a quote.
Cons: The platform’s breadth may be unnecessary for organizations that need only basic email retention.

Alternatives

For a broader social-media archive shortlist, see Social Media Archiving Software; for email-focused options, see Email Archiving Software. Choose Aleph Archives if a published monthly price and free trial are priorities: its Basic plan is 19.00 USD per month and Standard is 39.00 USD per month, with flexible subscriptions and customizable feature bundles. Consider Global Relay Event Archiving API when API-based event archiving is the priority; application enrollment and credentials per platform or data type are required.

Smarsh Archive is another paid API and web option. Social Archiver is worth comparing if a freemium service is preferred. Proofpoint Email DLP and Encryption is a paid alternative with mobile, web and Windows platforms. Theta Lake Teams Compliance Recorder has a free plan as well as paid platform tiers, including a 15000.00 USD per year SMB Platform under a 12-month contract for up to 999 users, requiring a per-user, per-year content SKU. Arkiwera and Hadrius Communications are also paid web options.

Verdict

Choose Jatheon Cloud if your organization needs to preserve communications across multiple channels and expects to use its compliance and eDiscovery toolkit. Its combination of capture breadth, advanced investigation tools, unlimited storage and no exit egress fees is a strong fit for that workload. Look elsewhere if you need a transparent price, a free entry point or only a focused archive; custom annual per-user pricing makes those comparisons especially important.
