Overview

InColor pairs a library of thousands of curated illustrations, with new styles added daily, with tools for making art from keywords, photos or a blank canvas. That breadth is its clearest advantage over a conventional coloring book, though the free plan restricts the available patterns and features. Community sharing and weekly themed challenges add a social dimension for users who want to show their work or connect with other creators.

Key features

Pages and creative tools

The AI coloring-book generator turns entered keywords into black-and-white sketches. Photo-to-line-art conversion, text-based coloring ideas and doodle transformation offer several starting points beyond the curated gallery. Users can color freeform, import their own images or draw on a blank canvas, using brushes, gradients and advanced detail controls. This combination suits hobbyists who want room to experiment; someone looking only for a simple, preset-page experience may not need the extra tools.

Community and content

Users can share artwork, connect with creators and join weekly themed challenges. Premium Access unlocks new books each week and features including brushes, stripes and frames, as well as premium content and ad removal. That makes a subscription more compelling for regular users than for someone who only wants occasional access to the free selection.

Privacy and content retention

Eyewind says personal data is kept in secure environments behind firewall-protected servers, while acknowledging that no system is completely secure. Its privacy policy was adopted according to the GDPR. The terms also say Eyewind is not required to back up user content and may delete it at any time, so InColor is a poor sole archive for artwork users cannot afford to lose.

Pricing

InColor is freemium, with a free plan and several premium options. The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and provides a selection of patterns and features with ads. It is a sensible way to explore the app, but the limited selection and advertising make it less suitable for frequent use.

monthly subscription: 15.99 USD per month, billed monthly, with premium content and ad removal. Some weekly, monthly and yearly subscription options include a 3-day free trial.
Annually subscription: 29.99 USD per year, with premium content and ad removal.
Lifetime Membership: 39.99 USD per once, with premium content and ad removal.
yearly subscription: 59.99 USD per year, with premium content and ad removal.

The yearly options have different prices, so compare them carefully before choosing. The 3-day trial applies only to some subscription options, not necessarily every plan. Readers who want ongoing access without ads should weigh the two annual prices against the one-time lifetime option; the free plan gives up premium content and keeps ads.

Platforms

InColor is available on Android, iOS and macOS, offering a choice across mobile devices and Mac. It does not suit someone who needs Windows access.

Who it's for

InColor is best for casual artists who want a large rotating gallery alongside ways to turn their own photos, doodles and keyword ideas into coloring projects. Its drawing tools and community features also suit people who want to create and share, not just fill in pages. Choose another app if you need Windows support or dependable backup of your artwork.

Pros and cons

Pro: Thousands of curated illustrations and daily style additions give regular users a changing supply of pages.
Pro: Keyword sketches, photo conversion, doodle transformation and blank-canvas drawing offer more creative starting points than a preset gallery alone.
Pro: Sharing, creator connections and weekly challenges give users ways to participate beyond coloring privately.
Con: The free plan limits patterns and features and includes ads, narrowing its appeal for frequent use.
Con: Eyewind may delete user content and has no obligation to back it up, so users should keep their own copies.
Con: The two annual subscription prices differ substantially, making plan comparison important before paying.

Alternatives

Browse Coloring Apps for more options. Choose Coloring Book: Color by Number if you want a free, ad-supported coloring-page option on Android, iOS or Windows, with a weekly subscription also offered. Color Tap is a straightforward alternative for iOS and macOS users: it is free to download and all content comes with the download. Colorfy is another Android and iOS choice with a free app supported by ads and in-app purchases. Consider Pixel Color if you want Android or iOS coloring with a free download and a weekly Pixel Pro subscription that unlocks all content and features. Pixel Paint is a free alternative on Android, iOS and web. PixelZen offers iOS coloring with daily challenges, streaks, achievements and daily tool charges on its free plan. Chroma is a freemium option for Android, iOS and web. Paint by Number: Coloring Game is worth considering if you need Windows support as well as Android, iOS or macOS, and it offers a free trial.

Verdict

Choose InColor if you want a broad coloring app that can turn prompts and personal images into projects, while also supporting original drawing and community participation. Its creative range is the main reason to subscribe; look elsewhere if you need Windows support, a simpler free experience, or assurance that your artwork will be backed up.
