Overview

Imagility I-9 Compliance brings employee eligibility, record maintenance, and immigration-related compliance tasks into one employer platform. It suits construction, engineering, and multi-site organizations with distributed or project-based workforces. Its strongest case is for teams that need audit and remediation support alongside I-9 processing; employers seeking a clear price before contacting sales should look elsewhere.

Key features

Guided I-9 workflows, digital signatures, document uploads, and reporting support both onsite and remote employees. E-Verify integration and third-party evaluation workflows extend the process beyond form completion. Expiration alerts, reverification tracking, dashboards, and tamper-proof audit logs help teams manage records over time, while HRIS and ATS integrations can connect company workflows.

Remote verification includes authorized-representative coordination and compliance with the DHS-authorized alternative procedure. That is useful for employers hiring across locations, but it still requires a reliable handoff to the representative. Automated expiration tracking and reverification tools address a recurring compliance task rather than leaving follow-up to employees alone.

Audit and remediation are substantial parts of the offering: line-by-line reviews, correction methodology, reverification tracking, retention analysis, risk categorization, and audit-ready repository creation. Internal mock audits, self-audits, organized audit files, and rapid record production are aimed at preparing employers to respond to scrutiny. Retention services include purge-eligibility review for terminated employees and secure-destruction documentation, which can help teams manage records beyond active employment.

The platform also covers LCA postings and acknowledgments, Public Access Files, and FDNS visit details and action items. Secure cloud storage and tamper-proof audit logs support record management; the company identifies SOC 2 Type II and GDPR. These related immigration workflows add value for employers managing several obligations in one place, but may be unnecessary overhead for a company that only needs basic I-9 completion.

Email, phone, and chat support are offered, with sales and support available 24/7 Monday to Friday. The product is available on Android, iOS, and web.

Pricing

Imagility uses paid, custom pricing; contact the company for a quote. A signup form offers a “Sign up for Free!” button, but no product price or trial length is stated. That makes it difficult to compare the cost with simpler verification tools before engaging sales. Employers should ask what the quote covers, including the audit, retention, and related compliance services they need.

Platforms

Imagility I-9 Compliance supports Android, iOS, and web, giving distributed teams access across mobile and desktop environments.

Who it's for

This is a strong fit for construction, engineering, and multi-site employers whose hiring is spread across projects or locations and who need remote verification, audit preparation, and related immigration compliance in the same system. It is less compelling for employers that only want an uncomplicated I-9 and E-Verify process or need a published price to make an initial shortlist.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines guided I-9 completion, E-Verify, remote verification, audit support, and retention workflows, reducing the need to coordinate those tasks across separate tools.
Pros: Audit preparation and remediation include line-by-line review, correction methods, risk categorization, mock audits, and repository creation—useful for employers that need more than form submission.
Pros: Related LCA, Public Access File, and FDNS workflows extend the platform for employers with broader immigration-compliance responsibilities.
Cons: Custom pricing and no stated trial length make cost and evaluation harder to plan before contacting the company.
Cons: Its breadth may be excessive for organizations that need only basic employee verification.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse Employment Eligibility Verification Software.

Choose Everee Onboarding+ if standard I-9 and onboarding workflows at no additional charge are the priority; its paid Onboarding+ option may suit teams looking beyond that included baseline.

E-Verify is the straightforward choice for employers who need the free internet-based system to verify newly hired employees in the U.S., rather than Imagility's broader audit and immigration-compliance scope.

Patriot I-9 may suit employers looking for a no-charge seat license and E-Verify billed per I-9, with storage priced separately at 1.25 USD per month.

Verifi-9 is another paid option for teams seeking I-9 compliance software across Android, iOS, and web.

WorkRight is worth considering for teams that can work within a 50-verification monthly Lite plan, which includes guided I-9 completion, document storage, E-Verify management, audit trails, and remote workflows.

Experian I-9 Management may fit employers seeking a quote-based I-9 management service and willing to request a demo.

First Advantage Form I-9 and E-Verify Services is an alternative for employers seeking those services through First Advantage; verifier and notary networks carry an additional per-use cost.

Symmetry I-9 is another custom-priced option, particularly for teams considering payroll tax APIs alongside onboarding compliance software.

Verdict

Choose Imagility I-9 Compliance if your distributed workforce needs remote I-9 processing plus serious audit, retention, and related immigration-compliance support in one platform. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; custom pricing and the absence of a stated trial are the main reasons to compare alternatives first.
